Ammo premium edition officially released
At the IECIE Shanghai Vape Culture Week in late October 2019, Huoqi E-cigarettes launched a globally limited new product: the premium edition Ammo. In addition to the original five colors, three new premium body colors were added: gold, purple, and red. As a loyal Ammo user, I was lucky enough to try it early, so here I’d like to share my hands-on experience.
Because it is a limited edition, I was definitely a little excited when I received the premium edition Ammo. After all, a global limited release makes it feel especially meaningful.

After opening the package, my first impression of this globally limited premium edition Ammo was that it felt refined and upscale. In terms of appearance, the biggest difference from the previous version is that the premium edition Ammo has a ring of inlaid stones engraved at the tail end of the device, forming the Ammo logo. According to the official introduction, these are Czech crystals, which do give it a distinctly luxurious style and an overall premium feel.
I compared the premium edition Ammo with the previous version. In terms of body design, the size of the premium edition vape device is basically the same as before, with a length of less than 9 cm. The body is not very thick, and when held in the hand, it feels solid and substantial. The exterior uses a titanium alloy material, and thanks to a vacuum plating process, the surface is bright and smooth, giving it a noble look. It also does not easily pick up dust or fingerprints, which is a very thoughtful touch.
The premium edition Ammo comes in three body colors: gold, purple, and red. Compared with the standard purple and red versions, the premium edition colors are clearly more eye-catching. Whether in brightness or smoothness, they look better than the original versions. The size and weight are also very well controlled, making it compact and convenient without losing its premium feel. The overall style leans toward high-end business aesthetics, with a steady and elegant look.

As for flavors, I originally wondered whether there would be exclusive premium edition flavors. At the moment, though, the premium edition Ammo does not come with any special e-liquid flavors made specifically for this version. The kit still includes only two pods. The two I received were Mung Bean Ice Slush and Belgian Berry. I really want to strongly recommend the Belgian Berry flavor here! If you usually enjoy cherry or blackcurrant flavors, it’s definitely worth trying. Belgian Berry is a new flavor in Ammo’s Europe Journey series. It has a rich taste and a satisfying throat hit. Aside from Mung Bean Ice Slush, it’s one of my favorite flavors.
Putting the pod flavors aside and getting back to the premium edition Ammo itself, the battery life and pod capacity are basically very similar to the previous version. Under normal use, it can deliver around 400 puffs. For me, I usually need to replace the pod after about a day and a half.

One of the biggest concerns for many long-time smokers is leaking. Ammo is well known in the vaping industry for its quality control, and seepage or leakage is relatively rare. Based on my experience so far, the premium edition Ammo is still very reliable when it comes to controlling leakage and seepage, and I’ve basically had no condensation issues.
Overall, the biggest highlight of the premium edition Ammo is its body design and exterior finish. The inlaid Czech crystals, titanium alloy material, and vacuum plating process absolutely make it a carefully crafted product. The draw experience and pod flavors are as consistently solid as ever, so anyone who has tried other Ammo products should not be disappointed. The premium edition Ammo was expected to launch in November, and the price is not too high either: 299 yuan for one device body plus two pods. If you want to try a more luxurious vaping device, it’s worth checking out.
