Huoqi is an e-cigarette brand under the Hong Kong-listed company Borton. In 2015, Borton Group acquired 100% of the shares of the then second-largest e-cigarette manufacturer in the world for 750 million RMB, officially entering the e-cigarette business. A year later, Borton launched its own e-cigarette brand — Huoqi. It can be said that Huoqi was born with a golden key. With the R&D advantages of Borton and Jirui, Huoqi has developed many products, including ECS pod systems, GS5.0 heated non-combustion devices, disposable e-cigarettes like Xiao Latiao, and Huoqi ammo, among others. The Savinelli packaging box features a top and bottom design, with the instruction manual on top. Underneath the manual is the Savinelli logo, surrounded by two pods, the main device, and a charging cable.

Usage Experience

The Savinelli body is made of zinc alloy, giving it a substantial feel in hand, almost twice the weight of other small vapes. The surface of the body features a black tactile paint finish, enhancing its quality while feeling soft and comfortable in hand. When viewed closely in the light, the surface of the Savinelli is not pure black; it reveals a hint of starlight from the black paint, which is not glaring, giving a low-key luxurious high-end feel. After using it for a few days, I found several improvements and features of the Savinelli.

First, the Savinelli pods have a capacity of 1.9ml, which is a suitable size among current small vape pods. As I mentioned in my previous experience with the MOTI·C, the issue is not that a higher capacity pod is better; firstly, larger capacity requires higher oil leakage control; secondly, the atomization core has an optimal lifespan, and excessive capacity can affect the taste in the later stages. However, increasing pod capacity can significantly reduce usage costs, which is one of the most effective ways for brands to enhance their products' cost-effectiveness in consumers' minds. Therefore, balancing capacity with the aforementioned two drawbacks is a dilemma that every e-cigarette manufacturer must consider. Around 2ml may be the most suitable capacity that can achieve both no oil leakage and good taste under current technological levels.

Secondly, the Savinelli has excellent atomization performance, producing significantly more vapor than similar small vapes, with a very full restoration of the e-liquid flavor. I inquired with friends at Huoqi, and they said the Savinelli is the first to use horizontal ceramic core technology, which increases the total heating surface area of the e-liquid, thus enhancing atomization.
