How Is the RELX 5th Gen Phantom? What Pod Flavors Are Available?

RELX 5th Gen Phantom has been on the market for a while now. As the first generation of RELX gradually ceases production, the Phantom may become the mainstay of RELX products in the future. This time, I got a few new flavors to share and also to experience the improvements of the Phantom compared to previous models. Just a reminder, RELX no longer offers kits; the device and pods are sold separately, so be sure to purchase genuine products.

In terms of specifications, it remains largely the same, with a slight increase in battery capacity from 350mAh to 380mAh. Although this seems minimal, due to RELX's consistent low power consumption, it provides longer-lasting battery life. The resistance remains at 1 ohm with the FEELM ceramic core, and the pod structure still uses the 4th generation infinite labyrinth airflow to effectively control condensation, with a pod capacity of 2ml. The draw resistance is tighter compared to the first generation, and due to an additional airflow hole at the bottom side, the draw resistance is more comfortable than the 4th generation infinite, although still tight. The vapor production is not as large as the first generation but is more delicate and smooth, showcasing the brand's expertise.

The device is well-crafted, with an attractive finish and a smooth feel.

The four-segment tidal light also provides better battery level indication.

The electrode slot no longer has condensation, keeping it very dry.

This time, I received six flavors, of which all but mung bean are new flavors: Ice Blueberry Tobacco, Ice Lemon Mint, Guava, Cherry Lime, Apple, and Mung Bean Ice Pop. Except for Ice Blueberry Tobacco, which is 50mg, the others are all 30mg.

1. Ice Blueberry Tobacco:

Inhaling brings a moderate chill, and exhaling reveals the aroma of blueberries accompanied by the taste of fresh tobacco, reminiscent of Seven Stars Blueberry beads. It eliminates the tar taste and has no sweetness. Being 50mg, the throat hit and satisfaction are quite high, and just a few puffs will leave you satisfied.

2. Ice Lemon Mint:

A flavor perfect for summer, the refreshing lime combined with moderate coolness feels like a glass of iced lime soda, driving away the heat.

3. Guava:

Guava, also known as pear guava, is a fruit I rarely eat, but I have a strong impression of its flavor. This Phantom flavor retains the fruit's aroma without the unique odor of guava, making it relatively mild and refreshing.

4. Cherry Lime:

This flavor primarily features lemon, but it has shifted to yellow lemon. The cherry aroma is subtle, but if you pay attention, you can still detect it. The sourness is more pronounced than the sweetness, making it not cloying.

5. Apple:

Apple is a fascinating flavor, with the aroma of green apple lingering in the mouth and nose, leaving a slightly sour and sweet sensation that lasts a long time.

6. Mung Bean Ice Pop:

The mung bean flavor has been around for quite some time. The Phantom's mung bean flavor is simply the taste of chilled raw mung beans, lacking the previous stunning flavor of Mengniu's Green Mood. Changes in the formula and oil supplier have made this flavor less novel, which is somewhat regrettable.

RELX 5th Gen Phantom remains a highly mature product, with no condensation or oil leakage, a tight draw, and smooth vapor. It still stands as one of the most competitive products on the market.
