The Most Detailed RELX 1st Gen Review and Pod Flavor Recommendations

Today's main character is the RELX 1st Gen:

The RELX 1st Gen is the best-selling generation and has laid the foundation for RELX's dominance in the e-cigarette market. This generation features the most colors and flavors of pods.

1. Packaging

The standard solid colors (except for fairy blue) come in a pure white packaging box, with an image of the device printed on it. The gradient packaging box and device are designed with a gradient effect, making it very attractive, and two pods are included with the device.

There is no need to elaborate too much on the packaging; the focus is on the product itself.

2. Device

The design of the device is very advanced (for its time), with a droplet-shaped indicator light and a wide variety of colors, mostly in matte spray paint. The charging port is a standard Android charging interface, and it needs to be oriented correctly when in use; the device feels very light, lacking a substantial feel, giving it a strong sense of cheapness. The connection port for the pods has an irregular design, making it difficult to quickly change pods, and the airflow holes are located on both sides of the device, which can be accidentally blocked when held. Personally, I am not a fan of this design.

3. Pods

The mouthpiece is quite thick, leading to a feeling of air leakage during use; early user reviews reported many instances of oil leakage, but this has been addressed, and the oil leakage situation has significantly decreased. However, the handling of condensation is still quite average; there are many flavor varieties, and new flavors are continuously being released, but the most popular ones remain a few (which will be discussed at the end). The 2ml pod capacity can last about 2.5 days.

The atomization core is the FEELM 1.0 from Microwell, with a black ceramic coating that allows for a larger contact area with the e-liquid, faster oil delivery, and a more delicate atomization effect, resulting in a purer taste during inhalation.

There will be no detailed flavor testing for the 1st Gen, as it has a high market share, and many people have their favorite flavors. Future new flavors can be evaluated separately. However, flavor recommendations will be provided for those who have just acquired the RELX 1st Gen and are unsure of which flavors to try.

Appearance: 4 points; the appearance is still good compared to when it was first released, but now it doesn't hold up as well.

Craftsmanship: 3.5 points; many early pods had oil leakage issues, and the device feels light.

Taste: 4.5 points; it deserves to be the industry leader.

Air Resistance: 2 points; the air resistance is too loose, making the actual experience quite poor.

Oil Leakage Prevention: 3.5 points; there were indeed many oil leakage issues early on, but the current standard is still average.

Condensation: 2 points; there are basically no measures to prevent condensation, and no one wants to suddenly inhale condensation.
