Horizontal Review of RELX Generations 1–4 Device Bodies and Prices: Which One Do You Like Best?

The weights are similar (generation 1: 17g, generation 2: 22g, generation 3: 18g, generation 4: 19g), with the design of generation 3 being the most stunning and recognizable, and it also includes Bluetooth functionality.

Both generations 3 and 4 have a vibration alert after 15 puffs.

Generations 1 and 3 require the pods to be inserted in a specific orientation, while generations 2 and 4 do not.

All pods use the black ceramic-coated atomization core from McWell, providing a taste and vapor quality that is unmatched by other manufacturers.

Generation 1 had severe condensation issues, often resulting in oil being inhaled; generations 2 and 3 frequently experienced oil leakage, which could occur during transport, and would leak at slightly higher temperatures, as mentioned in previous articles. The RELX generation 4 product has perfected the design of its infinite pods, with a very low probability of leakage and condensation, almost zero, but it cannot guarantee that future quality control from RELX will remain this way.

The electrode contacts and magnetic interfaces for generations 1-3 are set with magnets on the sides and electrodes in the middle, while generation 4 wraps the electrodes with magnets. Except for generation 1, RELX has kept up with the times by using a type-C interface, and generation 4 has also added a magnetic charging interface, with charging cases now available for sale. A friendly reminder: do not use fast charging for the device, as it can affect battery life and lead to insufficient battery life.

In summary: generation 1 offers the best cost-performance ratio; generations 2 and 3 are notorious for leaking oil, suitable for home use (generation 2 leaked in my pocket, leaving a shadow); generation 4 is an upgraded version of generation 1, although it is 30 yuan more expensive, it does not leak and has no condensation, so why not?
