RELX has so far released five products: the RELX Classic, RELX Alpha, RELX Lingdian, RELX Infinity, and the latest RELX Phantom.

Which RELX vaping device is better—the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th generation? As a long-established leader in China’s pod-based vaping market, RELX holds a huge share of the domestic pod system market, so its pace of launching new products has been relatively fast.

Many users online can no longer tell which RELX device is which, because there are now five versions in total.

Which RELX generation is better: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th?

1st Generation: RELX Classic

At present, this is the most cost-effective RELX product, and it also offers the largest variety of pod flavors. Since some flavors are being discontinued, there are currently 14 flavors available.

Advantages: very cost-effective in terms of long-term use, with relatively lower pod prices.

Disadvantages: condensation buildup needs to be cleaned regularly.

Recommended for: first-time e-cigarette buyers. One box contains 3 pods, and each pod is 2 ml.

2nd Generation: RELX Alpha

The Alpha mainly changed in appearance, with a frosted finish and a better overall texture. It also has a tighter draw than the 1st generation, making it more satisfying. The pods use an S-shaped ring design, making them less prone to leaking, and they prevent users from drawing in e-liquid condensation. Even when taken on airplanes, leaking is rare. It feels more satisfying, smoother to use, and reduces the hassle of leakage.

Advantages: no leaking, no condensation in the mouth, and better flavor.

Recommended for: experienced smokers or users with higher expectations for flavor.

Recommended for: also a great first choice for gifts and for people who travel frequently on business.

3rd Generation: RELX Lingdian

Compared with the 2nd generation, I prefer the flavor and appearance of the 3rd generation. The anti-slip design of the device really won me over. The 1st generation was too slippery before and always slipped out of my clothes pocket, getting banged up badly. The 3rd generation uses an anti-slip striped design. I especially like this white version—it looks clean, simple, and elegant.

As for the flavor, it feels smoother and softer than the 2nd generation. The draw resistance is like a balanced combination of the 1st and 2nd generations—not too tight and not too loose. It doesn’t feel hollow when vaping either. Its condensation control is excellent: when you pull out the pod, you can see that all the condensation is locked inside and doesn’t leak out at all. The four layers of silicone also seal it tightly, bringing anti-leak technology to what is currently a top-tier level.

Finally, there is the app connectivity and real-time smart monitoring function. You can clearly see how many puffs you’ve taken and which flavored pods you’ve used, and you can also lock the device with one tap. This feature is especially useful for households with children, so you don’t have to worry about accidental use by kids.

Advantages: smooth and soft flavor, can connect to a phone for real-time monitoring, and anti-loss features.

Disadvantages: other than being expensive, no obvious downside has been found so far.

Recommended for: vaping enthusiasts.

4th Generation: RELX Infinity

RELX Infinity combines the advantages of the previous three generations. It offers cost performance close to the 1st generation, and its follow-up pods are all priced at 99 RMB for a 3-pack. It has a breathing light design similar to the Alpha, along with a comparable body material and frosted finish. It also uses a flat mouthpiece design like the Lingdian, which fits the lips better.

A charging case set was also released recently. The case is compact and easy to carry, making it more than sufficient for short trips.

Disadvantages: like the 1st generation, its airflow hole design can be easily blocked by dust.

Advantages: smooth and soft flavor, several excellent pod flavors, some standout bestselling flavors, and good overall value.

Recommended for: beginners, or users deciding between the 1st generation and the Alpha/Lingdian.

5th Generation: RELX Phantom

RELX Phantom was officially announced on December 8 and officially went on sale on December 15. Its current sales strategy is to sell the device and pods separately: the standalone device costs 268 RMB, while a box of 3 pods costs 99 RMB. Together, one device plus three pods comes to 367 RMB, putting it in the mid-to-upper price range of pod-based mini vaping devices.

Because the Phantom device has a four-bar breathing light that resembles a racing light strip, some users also call it the “four-bar” model. The four-bar battery indicator can display the remaining battery level and charging progress at any time, allowing users to clearly understand the battery status of the device. This provides a very good user experience.

So, which RELX generation is better: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th? In summary, if you care about value for money, you can choose the Infinity. If you prefer a more premium option, choose the Lingdian. If budget isn’t an issue, the Lingdian is a safe choice. If you feel the Lingdian is too expensive and the pods cost too much to keep using, then choose the Infinity. As for the 5th generation Phantom, you can try it out to experience what makes it different. #p#Page Title#e#
