Secondhand aerosol produced by vaping devices can raise PM1.0 levels by 14 to 40 times and PM2.5 levels by 6 to 86 times. The World Health Organization has warned that when the concentration of this aerosol is high enough, it poses a serious threat to human health, especially for people with respiratory illnesses.
