Why Does a Vaping Device Taste Burnt During Use?
Some users of vaping devices report experiencing a burnt taste during use.
The burnt taste in a vaping device is mainly related to the coil, and solutions generally focus on the contact area between the coil and the e-liquid.
If a vaping device has a burnt taste, testing usually requires more than one day before you can clearly identify the issue; in many cases, the burnt smell disappears on its own the next day.
An occasional burnt taste is normal.

Here is an analysis of several causes of a burnt taste in vaping devices and how to fix them:
1. There are air bubbles inside the coil, making it difficult for the liquid to enter.
Solution: Take a few firm puffs, then exhale the burnt vapor. Shake the mouthpiece downward a few times to remove the bubbles, let it sit for a while, and try again.
2. In some coils, the wick is too thick, causing e-liquid to enter the coil too slowly.
Solution: Simply replace the coil.
3. A newly replaced coil has a burnt taste.
Solution: Prime the new coil with e-liquid and let it rest flat for a few minutes before use. During use, exhale the first 10 puffs.
4. There is too little e-liquid in the pod or tank, causing dry hits.
Solution: Make sure the e-liquid level stays above one-third during normal use, and always keep the base of the coil saturated with e-liquid while vaping.
5. The coil has been used for too long and has reached the end of its lifespan. (Its lifespan depends on regular maintenance.)
Solution: Simply replace the coil. (This may vary from month to month.)
6. Differences in personal taste can affect the e-liquid experience, and some users may perceive a burnt sensation with certain flavors.
Solution: Try switching to a different e-liquid flavor.
