A Major Innovation at the Shenzhen Vape Expo: An Atomizer That Doesn’t Leak
For two consecutive days, at the Shenzhen International E-Cigarette Industry Expo, the Shanlan Technology booth set up an inconspicuous "ring"—a vacuum e-cigarette that does not leak oil.
The so-called "collapse" means that the negative pressure testing device is located in the booth area, with professional testing paper placed at the bottom of the negative pressure gauge. A small Shanlan e-cigarette atomizer is inverted on the paper. Therefore, even if only the slightest amount of e-liquid seeps out, a chemical reaction occurs upon contact with the test paper, causing the paper to change color from white to blue. The staff then adjusted the air pressure to -40kpa (lower than the pressure during flight), with an operation time of about 15 seconds. On-site tests showed that the small Shanlan flying atomizer did not leak oil during the negative pressure test!
Even when you see it with your own eyes, people still don't believe it's true. Oil leakage in e-cigarettes is a world-class technological issue, and almost all e-cigarettes have oil leakage problems. Anyone claiming there is no oil leakage is just boasting.
As a result, the foreign e-cigarette professional and many audience members were skeptical. So, it was very simple: you could take out your e-cigarette and try it! At the scene, many audience members took out their e-cigarettes and "jumped" on the platform to test—under the same conditions. The Shanlan atomizer truly does not leak oil!

Various audience members from around the world flocked in. The result was that the Shanlan atomizer never leaked oil—the test paper remained white, while other e-cigarettes almost all turned blue (as shown in the picture below):
Even so, foreigners still did not believe the results: they wondered if the Shanlan atomizer had been specially treated (such as pre-blocked oil holes), or if the flavor of this oil-free atomizer was problematic. What is the significance of this "technological invention"?
Thus, the battle escalated: the Shanlan atomizer was randomly selected by the audience. After testing, the audience confirmed that the flavor was very good. Only at this point did all the audience members truly believe.
According to the on-site Shanlan technology designers, the e-liquid inside the e-cigarette atomizer is a liquid with a density lower than that of water molecules, making it highly fluid. During the atomization process, the e-cigarette generates negative pressure through suction, pushing the e-liquid into the atomizer. Most e-cigarettes on the market use ceramic core atomizers, which have the advantage of better oil conduction, larger hole absorption, and stronger flavor reduction, but they also have a fatal flaw: firstly, due to the chaotic arrangement of oil holes in the ceramic core, the holes are too dense and can easily become clogged, leading to a reduction in flavor. Secondly, to improve oil conduction performance, the atomization core needs to increase the number of oil holes, which can easily cause the atomizer to leak oil.
It is said that Shanlan Technology has always struggled with the headache of oil leakage. After experiencing a wave of oil leakage incidents, they established the most advanced technology R&D team in China to tackle this world-class problem. After 186 days and 103 experiments, they adopted a regularly arranged oil hole structure in the atomization core to ensure the stability of the atomizer and an excellent flavor experience. At the same time, they developed their own locking oil technology. Only then did the world develop the world's only oil-free technology invention.
Shanlan Technology CEO Zhu Yaxuan introduced that the exhibition conducted hundreds of tests over the past two days. Today is the last day of the exhibition. Zhu Yaxuan said they welcome colleagues from around the world to come and learn.
