E-cigarettes can be taken on planes through security checks. Generally speaking, e-cigarettes are allowed on planes due to their special structure, which poses minimal harm. Any prohibited items discovered during security checks may be handed over to law enforcement for handling.

Liquid, gel, and spray items such as bottled water, cream, and gel are not allowed. Items like knives, screwdrivers, and wrenches are also prohibited. Ignitable lighters and matches cannot be brought on board.

If the e-cigarette has an external battery, meaning it requires a battery to be installed, it is recommended to carry the battery with you.

If it is a device with a built-in battery, it is advisable to separate the device from the atomizer and empty the e-liquid from the atomizer, checking the device and e-liquid as much as possible to avoid unnecessary trouble.

When taking domestic flights, each person may carry a total of liquid items not exceeding 1 liter, and these must be opened for inspection and confirmed to be safe before being allowed on board. Any excess must be checked in. Alcoholic beverages must be checked in.

When taking international or regional flights departing from airports within China, such items must be contained in containers not exceeding 100 milliliters and placed in a transparent plastic bag with a capacity not exceeding 1 liter, which can be resealed. Each passenger is only allowed to carry one transparent plastic bag, and any excess must be checked in.
