RELX uses a 350mAh battery capacity. The bottom of the device features a Micro-USB charging port, supporting all-day use. Its polymer lithium battery, combined with innovative thin-film heating technology, reduces power consumption and improves overall battery life. At the same time, the automatic draw-activated power supply helps make the most of every bit of battery power.

To address the uneven safety standards of e-cigarettes on the market, RELX has built in three layers of safety protection. On the front of the device, there is a droplet-shaped LED breathing indicator. It stays steadily lit while charging. In short-circuit protection mode, the indicator flashes 3 times; in over-puff protection mode, it also flashes 3 times; and in low-voltage protection mode, it flashes 10 times. Users can identify the device status based on these different light signals.

The battery capacity is 350mAh, which is generally enough for a full day of use. According to the manual, charging via USB takes about 45–60 minutes for a full charge. The pod capacity is 2ml, and under normal use it can last 4–5 days; even for very heavy users, it can generally last about two days. The nicotine strength is 5%, which usually does not feel too harsh for the average smoker. However, if your cigarette consumption starts to decrease, 5% may gradually feel too strong, and you may feel a head rush after just a few puffs. In that case, you can choose 2.5% pods or a lower nicotine strength.

In general, charging for 45–60 minutes is about right. Once fully charged, the breathing light on the back will turn off automatically. When you see the light go out, you can unplug it. A full charge is usually enough for about a day. My nicotine dependence isn’t especially heavy—I used to smoke a little over half a pack a day—and after switching to RELX, it seems like I smoke even less than before. I usually charge it for about an hour in the evening, and that’s enough for the whole next day.

You can use it right away without charging it the first time, but I still recommend fully charging it as soon as possible before regular use. Also, it’s best not to wait until the battery is completely drained before charging, as that isn’t good for the battery either.
