Review and Impressions of the VTV@+ Vaping Device
It's been a while since I wrote an article. The VTV was once my favorite among many pod systems, and even now I still carry the VTV with me every day. This time, with the launch of the revamped VTV@, I decided to write a review after getting my hands on it, to provide some reference for consumers. First, let's look at the device specifications.

It feels quite impressive, and the design is also quite beautiful. The all-in-one design seems to be the trend now. Finally, let's take a look at the available colors.

Besides the Starry Black version I have, I also bought the Glowing White version, which changes color to pink when exposed to light. I find this feature quite flashy. The box is quite large, giving a sense of grandeur. Inside, there is a quality inspection standard, a manual, a warranty card, and two pods: one is Black Ice, and the other is the number one staple flavor, which are the two flavors from the old model. It would be nice if they could include random flavors instead of fixed ones for a more surprising experience.
What surprised me the most was the pod packaging, which is very convenient, practical, and has a good quality feel. If someone, like me, likes to try all flavors at once or needs to carry two flavors when going out, this is very practical. It can be resealed to prevent the flavor from escaping, and it's easy to fit in your pocket without worrying about ants or cockroaches crawling on it and unknowingly taking a puff...
Moreover, the pods are labeled with flavors for easy identification, as shown in the pictures I took.

VTV E-cigarette Generation 5 Pod Review
Currently, there are 11 flavors available. I noticed that many products tend to repeat old flavors when launching new devices, which is quite unoriginal. This time, VTV@ has introduced new flavors alongside the original number one staple, Black Ice, and Ice Sealed, which is quite a risky but thoughtful move. VTV always manages to create flavors that are different from those on the market, rather than just following the trend of green bean flavors, which is quite remarkable. Now, let me analyze my impressions of the 11 flavors.
▼ Number One Staple
There's not much to say; I still think it tastes like milk candy. I've been vaping VTV for a long time and don't usually choose this flavor, as I find it too sweet and cloying. However, VTV@ has reduced the sweetness, making it much more acceptable. Still, I wouldn't choose this flavor as my daily staple; the throat hit is a bit harsh for my liking.
▼ Black Ice
This flavor feels a bit like grape, and also somewhat like blueberry. The throat hit is strong, with a moderate coolness. The sensation of inhaling goes straight to the lungs, paired with a unique smooth throat hit, making it quite satisfying. Unlike many current pod systems that rely solely on coolness for throat hit, VTV provides a different experience that doesn't disappoint.
▼ Ice Ice Boom (Cool Version Ice Sealed)
This flavor has an even stronger coolness and a slightly enhanced taste. I know many people can't live without VTV for this reason. The new version feels even better, with a powerful throat hit and coolness combined with a subtle aroma, creating a unique VTV flavor that is truly refreshing when paired with alcohol. This is probably the flavor with the highest satisfaction in terms of throat hit, rather than the typical minty toothpaste flavor that many people are used to. It's no wonder so many people love it.
▼ Old Ice Pop
This flavor has a decent throat hit and coolness, but I feel it doesn't quite match up to Ice Ice Boom. The taste is a faint banana flavor. I've tried other brands' old ice pop flavors, and they seem quite similar. I haven't had the chance to try the mainland's old ice pop, so I'm not sure how it compares. This flavor doesn't surprise me much, and I would choose Ice Ice Boom instead. However, to each their own; the coolness and throat hit are still excellent.
▼ Mango Sour Grapefruit
This flavor truly amazed me. The old mango flavor was already quite good, but this one feels even more authentic. It tastes very much like the dessert mango sago. Whenever I go to a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant, I always order mango sago for my family. Unfortunately, I can't have it in winter, but summer is coming, and I strongly recommend trying the real mango sago then. This flavor is incredibly well-replicated, but the throat hit is slightly lacking, and the coolness isn't very strong. However, since this flavor isn't named mango sago, it's still acceptable. I did notice that the flavor tends to fade quite a bit towards the end, which might be an issue with the oil or ceramic core, so it could use some improvement.
▼ Orange Soda
This flavor is just like orange soda. The throat hit is moderate, and the coolness is above average. I feel the flavor is quite well-replicated, but I'm not a big fan of orange soda, so it probably won't be my daily staple.
▼ Taro Mousse
This is one of my favorites. The taro flavor is strong, the coolness is good, and the throat hit is strong, making it quite enjoyable. It tastes very much like the taro milkshake I love. Compared to the Taro Ice from Caohuzhi, this flavor is more intense. However, not everyone loves taro. I let some friends try it, and those who loved it really enjoyed it, while those who didn't said it made them feel nauseous. It really depends on personal preference, but I will definitely include it in my daily staples.
▼ Matcha Ice
This flavor has a nice tea aroma. I actually can't taste the matcha, but I don't particularly like matcha. I think the tea aroma is quite nice, and the flavor is on the lighter side. Overall, I find it enjoyable, with moderate coolness and throat hit.
▼ Red Tea Latte
This flavor is really strong. Compared to the red tea latte I usually have at beverage shops, the latte flavor is rich and fragrant. The entrance is filled with a strong latte flavor, and the exhale reveals a hint of red tea aroma. This flavor is excellent, surpassing many hand-shaken beverage shops, and it should also be one of my daily staples.
▼ Strawberry Sakura Green Tea
Actually, I'm not particularly interested in tea, strawberries, or cherry blossoms, but after trying it, I found I quite like this flavor. I can't say I particularly noticed the floral or strawberry notes, nor have I had related tea drinks, but I found this flavor quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the throat hit is weak and lacks coolness. If they could enhance the coolness and throat hit, it might make it into my daily staples. However, as it stands, I can only enjoy the flavor, which doesn't pique my interest as much.
▼ Pineapple Passionfruit
This flavor is actually quite good, but I don't really taste the pineapple or passionfruit. The overall flavor is quite nice, but what's important is the innovative flavor. It doesn't matter what flavors I can detect, but the weak throat hit and average coolness mean this flavor won't be a regular choice for me.
Device Comparison
This time, besides the pod vibrating upon insertion, it also shows battery levels with green -> blue -> red lights, which I find quite thoughtful. However, for me, just having two light colors is enough. For example, if I see a red light, I know it's time to charge to maximize flavor. This would be more practical. The draw resistance feels similar to the old VTV, actually not much different from Relx. Both provide a comfortable experience similar to smoking, and whether you prefer to draw hard or lightly, it shouldn't disappoint.
Pod Usage Conditions
During the vaping process, I found the number one staple and two mango sour grapefruit pods to be quite tight. While I can accept tightness, it doesn't feel as comfortable. I also experienced a burnt taste with the pineapple passionfruit, which made me think it was burnt, but after continuing to vape, there was no burnt taste. I didn't encounter issues like dry hits or leaking oil. Based on my experience with 11 flavors, along with a box of taro mousse and mango sour grapefruit, I think the quality is quite excellent.
Pros
Overall, the flavors are subjective, but I feel there are many unique flavors introduced, which is quite courageous and not just following trends. All new flavors should only have the number one staple and strawberry without coolness; the rest at least have a hint of coolness, which is a significant plus for me. The device's quality and functionality are excellent, and one outstanding feature is that I can completely vape the oil dry. Although the flavor may be slightly lighter, the throat hit and coolness remain. This improvement is truly commendable, and I highly recommend trying it out.
Cons
The device's battery life feels slightly lacking compared to Relx. Additionally, some flavors left me feeling the throat hit was insufficient, which was a bit disappointing. I hope they can adjust it to 5% completely. However, considering that the largest brand in Taiwan, Relx, has almost all flavors at 3%, these flavors' throat hits might still be acceptable for most consumers.
