Hello everyone. I was very fortunate to be selected for this Steam Well product trial and received the opportunity to test Taiwan’s GHOST e-liquid. After using it for a week, I found it very good, so I’d like to share my experience with everyone.

GHOST currently has two series: a tea series and a fruit series. Both include many flavors, and their packaging styles are also somewhat different. The three bottles I received cover both series. On the left is Jin Xuan Tea from the tea series, which has a more classical style. The two bottles on the right are from the fruit series: the middle one is Mixed Fruit, and the one on the far right is Melon. The fruit e-liquid packaging is more cartoonish, featuring cute little ghost characters. All three are 30ML in capacity. The nicotine content is not labeled, but judging from the throat hit, it is probably 3MG. The PG/VG ratio is also not indicated. Vapor production is good, so it is likely the common 30/70 mix. The three liquids have basically the same flow characteristics and are not thick.

I tested them using two atomizers: the Rose V2S (tank) and the Godria BOLT (dripper), both wicked with Koh Gen Do organic cotton. The Rose setup used 28GA Kanthal, 6–8 tight wraps, a 2.0mm inner diameter, 1.4Ω resistance, and 15W power. The Godria BOLT used dual Clapton coils with 0.25Ω resistance at 80W.

I started with this bottle of Jin Xuan Tea. The e-liquid is overall a purplish-red color. Probably because I personally love tea, I naturally have a favorable impression of tea-flavored e-liquids. Although I had never actually drunk Jin Xuan Tea before, I had long heard of it. Jin Xuan is a famous Taiwanese tea and reportedly has the second-highest cultivation rate in Taiwan. It is said to have a unique osmanthus and milky aroma, making it very popular among tea lovers.

On the inhale, the first impression is a rich osmanthus tea flavor. The tea note is very authentic, with a smooth mouthfeel. After a few more puffs, it really does resemble osmanthus tea. I couldn’t really detect the legendary milky note, however. Both sweetness and cooling are low, with the tea flavor remaining the main focus. The exhaled vapor carries a rich tea aroma, and the lingering aftertaste in the mouth has a sweet finish, much like drinking tea. On the dripper, the osmanthus tea flavor is even more intense, while in the tank atomizer, you can taste more of a green tea note combined with floral fragrance.

Next is this Mixed Fruit flavor, featuring a very cute little vampire on the label. The e-liquid itself is also appropriately colored bright red. A deep inhale brings a very interesting blend of fruit flavors. It is hard to describe which fruit is absolutely dominant, though berry notes seem slightly more prominent. It is pleasantly sweet and tart, and with closer tasting, there are hints of orange and apple. Sweetness is medium to slightly above medium, while the cooling is moderate. The exhaled vapor is also very appealing. On the dripper, the berry flavor stands out a bit more, while the other fruit notes are blended too intricately to separate clearly. Although it vapes very well, it is genuinely hard to say exactly which fruits are all in there. In the tank atomizer, berries still dominate, but the finish reveals orange and apple notes. It would be even better with a bit more cooling, which would give it more of an iced fruit punch feel.

Finally, there is this Melon e-liquid. The liquid is overall ocean blue in color. On the inhale, the Hami melon flavor is fairly standard. Sweetness is not high, and it falls into the category of a fairly common Hami melon flavor. There are no big surprises, but it is not disappointing either. I believe that with a stronger cooling effect, it could become a very nice summer e-liquid. Since it is a single-flavor fruit e-liquid, there is not much difference in performance between the dripper and the tank.

Overall, the experience with these three bottles of GHOST e-liquid from Taiwan was very good. Although there are a few shortcomings in the packaging details, such as not listing nicotine content or the PG/VG ratio, the overall quality of the e-liquid is solid. The taste is smooth, the raw materials seem good, and there is no cheap artificial flavoring taste when vaping. I also heard that the 60ML version comes with an adjustable cooling additive, which is quite a fresh idea and especially suitable for users who like DIY customization. It would also likely address the issue for heavy-flavor users like me who feel that fruit e-liquids sometimes lack enough cooling.
