IJOY High-Performance Resin Vape Kit

IJOY is a manufacturer of e-cigarettes that particularly likes to use 20700 as the main battery. Its CAPTAIN PD270 attracted considerable attention in the industry during its launch period.

Today, I would like to share IJOY's latest 20700 kit product, the CAPTAIN RESIN, and see how it differs from the previous PD270...

The series' later naming “RESIN” refers to resin. Since the CAPTAIN RESIN's design is very similar to the PD270, many may mistakenly think this is a special resin edition of the PD270, but from the maximum output, we can see that RESIN is 200W while PD270 is 234W...

The manufacturer's original accessories are shown above. Aside from the difference in maximum power, the RESIN, which also uses 20700 as the battery solution, looks quite similar to the PD270, with the main unit dimensions completely identical at 89X48X32MM, and the adjustment button of the RESIN has also changed to a round shape.

The body is made of a mix of zinc alloy and resin, providing not only a weight advantage but also the unique feel of resin. The flashy resin texture is unique, combined with the colorful electroplating process on the zinc alloy surface, the overall aesthetics of the RESIN is very high, fitting the flamboyant style of big vapor enthusiasts.

Returning to the battery settings, if using high power output, the 20700 will undoubtedly have a more significant advantage over the 18650, whether in terms of endurance or voltage output stability. However, it is worth mentioning that the manufacturer’s “CAPTAIN RESIN” kit does not include batteries or an 18650 battery adapter.

The large 28MM diameter compatible atomizer also uses a lot of resin material, allowing for a choice of tank sizes to achieve 4.5 or 6ML capacity. Although the two mesh coil options have different specifications for single and dual coils, their resistance is both 0.2 ohms, with an official recommended output of 40-80W.

The top-fill design for the oil inlet is very convenient during use. CAPTAIN RESIN is a choice for a big vapor device that performs well and looks good, but compared to IJOY's previously launched PD270, the CAPTAIN RESIN is almost like a twin brother, with only a slight difference in maximum power; perhaps RESIN is a product not specifically targeting original PD270 users...
