The most noticeable feature on the body is the ASMODUS logo, along with the brand's exclusive wheel logo serving as the LED light hole. Interestingly, this light has a marquee design, where the light flickers gradually until fully lit when in use, visually resembling a rotating wheel, making it stand out among various pod devices. The electrode assembly on the body includes standard electrodes, magnets, and a draw-activated switch, but the most prominent feature is the rubber ring distributed around the exterior, which serves to prevent condensation. Chenpi Hawthorn: This flavor might suggest a combination of dried tangerine peel and sweet-sour hawthorn, but upon experiencing it, you will find that there is hardly any tangerine peel flavor; instead, the intensely rich and sweet-sour hawthorn dominates, with a slight cooling sensation to balance the sweetness. You could say it resembles hawthorn fruit or hawthorn juice, but it feels more like the texture of fruit leather we often had as kids. I personally believe this flavor is definitely the star of the Awakening series and must be tried. Sea Salt Cookies: This flavor seems like a dessert but enters with a cooling sensation, with a mildly sweet and fragrant cookie flavor that hints at a lemony sweetness. The overall experience does not reveal any saltiness, leaning more towards the taste of sandwich cookies. Additionally, you need not worry that the cooling sensation is a bad match, as the cookie flavor is inherently light, and the added cooling sensation balances it out, so there’s no concern about excessive sweetness. Cloud Mountain Longjing: A refreshing and pure tea flavor, with a rich tea aroma, and a slight astringency that comes naturally from the tea. The simulation and restoration are done very well, without any unpleasant flavors found in some tea-flavored e-liquids, making it a must-try for light flavor users. Passion Fruit Orange: A classic mixed fruit flavor, with a distinct sweetness from passion fruit, blended with some orange or citrus flavor. The two flavors do not transition but rather highlight each other simultaneously. Nostalgic Ice Pop: A high-cooling flavor reminiscent of old ice pops, mildly sweet and not cloying, representing the safest choice without much explanation. Red Jade Watermelon: A thoroughly chilled watermelon juice flavor, with the special feature that it does not include any watermelon rind or that unique unpleasant flavor often found in watermelon flavorings. The overall experience is refreshing and pleasant, with excellent restoration of the fruit flavor. In addition to these six flavors, there are also options for Xinjiang Apricot Juice, American Tobacco, Mr. Green Bean, and Lemon Grapefruit available for selection. According to the official instructions, it features a child lock, which is activated differently from other brands that require quick insertion and removal of the pod five times; instead, it requires a slow activation of about one second per action. Once activated, the pod is essentially in a shutdown state to prevent accidental use by children. Another feature mentioned in the manual is the sleep mode, characterized by the green, red, and blue lights flashing three times. It automatically enters this mode when not in use, but in my personal experience, I have never seen this mode trigger, leaving me puzzled about its activation conditions. In summary, the first pod device from Asmodus, the Awakening pod, has no flaws in terms of usage and craftsmanship. The pods not only include various mainstream flavors but also introduce unique flavors like Chenpi Hawthorn and Sea Salt Cookies, which are exceptionally outstanding.
