After Buying the Boulder Amber, Here Are Three Reasons I Recommend This Pod Product
On September 20, the high-end e-cigarette brand Boulder launched its pod product, Amber. I was among the first to purchase and experience this product. A month has passed; how does Boulder Amber perform in terms of value for money? Let me share my thoughts.

Striking appearance with a high-end pearlescent finish
As the flagship product of Boulder this quarter, the new Amber features a body made of UV zinc alloy with a pearlescent finish. Those familiar with cars know that pearlescent paint is commonly used on high-end models and in aftermarket modifications, making it quite expensive in terms of both materials and application techniques. Boulder is one of the few brands in the e-cigarette industry to adopt this coating for product design. In terms of actual effect, the addition of pearlescent paint gives the Amber body a unique transparency, and the reflection of metallic mica particles in the paint adds a layer of mystery to the design.

Attention to detail in family design
The new Amber has a size of 101*25*13mm, slightly larger than similar products. To address this, Boulder innovatively adopted a "mountain shape" design at the pod interface, allowing a significant portion of the pod to be concealed within the device, visually correcting the oversized appearance of the Boulder body. Additionally, the "mountain shape" design combines the landmark of the brand's birthplace with the product, enhancing product recognition while incorporating Boulder's spirit of "bravery, fearlessness, exploration, and conquest" into the design.

Excellent battery life with impressive standby time
As a hardcore player in the e-cigarette industry, continuous breakthroughs are synonymous with Boulder. In June, the Boulder Bling series with a 330mAh battery and 2.5ml e-liquid configuration surpassed 67% of mainstream products in the market, becoming a dominant player in the pod market. The Amber series launched in September achieved a practical e-liquid capacity of 3.0ml and a battery capacity of 420mAh, both breaking industry records. Amber also features Boulder's self-developed seventh-generation graphene ceramic honeycomb atomization core, reducing the atomization wall thickness from the mainstream 2mm to 1mm, and increasing the aperture rate from 50% to 63%, enhancing the atomization effect of the e-liquid.

Experience from the era of large vapor clouds tells me that atomization effect and standby time cannot coexist. A larger vapor volume requires an increase in atomization core resistance and voltage, which tests battery capacity. However, during my month-long experiment, Boulder performed exceptionally well in both standby time and actual usage time, with no decline in atomization performance even at low battery levels, while several products from friends around me failed first. Additionally, Boulder Amber uses Type-C charging, supporting fast charging. Undoubtedly, Amber has liberated users from the last barrier between the product and the data cable.

Comfortable taste, mint blueberry is the top choice
Ultimately, e-cigarettes are meant to be smoked. Boulder Amber performs well in terms of taste, with full and smooth vapor that is not irritating, providing a good experience whether mouth-to-lung or direct lung. Most importantly, Amber excels in simulating the draw resistance, closely resembling the actual feeling of smoking.
This time, Boulder Amber launched a total of 7 flavors of pods: classic tobacco, black gold roasted tobacco, mint tobacco, blueberry burst, watermelon ice, Tainan pineapple, and Jiulong frozen lemon tea, catering to local taste preferences. Personally, I prefer the mint tobacco and blueberry burst pods; the mint tobacco has a strong mint flavor, cool and refreshing, with a moderate throat hit; the blueberry burst fills the vapor with a hint of blueberry fragrance, and the sweet and sour taste combined with the coolness is quite enjoyable.
After a month of practical experience, Boulder Amber can be considered one of the top e-cigarette products of this quarter. Its striking appearance, excellent battery life, and comfortable taste are its highlights. The only downside might be its "bulky" size, which is not particularly advantageous in the pod market. I hope Boulder can successfully slim down Amber in future developments.
