Many users find it difficult to choose the right e-liquid flavor, unsure which one suits them best. Below, I will briefly discuss the classification of e-liquid flavors and the aspects to consider when selecting e-liquids.

1. Flavor. E-liquid flavors come in various types but can generally be divided into three main categories.

A. Tobacco-like flavors

B. Fruit and herbal flavors

C. Various food and beverage flavors

Fruit flavors are the closest to real fruits and are generally easier to enjoy, especially mint flavors. New users often find fruit flavors to be a good choice. Flavor selection is crucial, as different people have different perceptions of the same flavor. It is recommended to purchase a small amount for testing to avoid wasting if you don't like it. Additionally, the same flavor, such as apple, may vary between brands, so it's essential to understand this when purchasing.

2. Nicotine concentration.

E-liquids come in two types: those containing nicotine and those without. The nicotine content can range from 0mg (milligrams) to 24mg or even higher.

Nicotine-free e-liquids do not have the throat hit associated with nicotine. If you have never smoked before, it is advisable to choose nicotine-free options.

For e-liquids containing nicotine, you can estimate based on your smoking habits. Generally, it is recommended to start with low concentration (6mg) or medium concentration (11mg). Choosing e-liquids with too high nicotine content can cause throat discomfort, which only heavy smokers can tolerate. Typically, if you smoke about a pack a day, you can opt for medium concentration e-liquids. If you desire a stronger sensation, you may choose high concentration e-liquids. (I suggest avoiding high concentration unless absolutely necessary.)

3. Base liquid.

The base liquid is usually a mixture of propylene glycol and glycerin, with propylene glycol making up about 80%. Propylene glycol provides a throat hit, while glycerin produces vapor. The ratio of the two determines the flavor and vapor production of the e-liquid.

4. Allergic reactions.

Some e-cigarette users report feeling nauseous or dizzy, which may be due to allergies to nicotine or propylene glycol. It is advisable to choose low concentration or nicotine-free e-liquids.

5. Brand e-liquids.

When selecting e-liquids, always choose branded products and avoid cheap, low-quality options. The purpose of using e-cigarettes is to be healthier, and you shouldn't compromise on quality for price.
