Another Smartisan executive starts a new business — what does Xiaoye vaping look like?

After Smartisan’s employee No. 001, Zhu Xiaomu, launched Flow vaping products, another Smartisan executive has left to enter the vaping industry. According to reports, the executive is Peng Jinzhou, former president of Smartisan.

In mid-March, self-media outlet “LanDong New Consumption” said it had deciphered the name of Luo Yonghao’s vaping brand, which was likely to be Xiaoye and Xihongxian. Now it appears the brand really is called “Xiaoye,” with a logo that conveys a clear “attitude.” However, Luo himself is not the one making vaping devices.

At this vaping expo, Xiaoye vaping products made their public appearance. After trying them, some industry insiders complained that the product was “basically a standard off-the-shelf mold,” saying it was still in a fairly early stage and not much different from other vaping devices already on the market.

Some media outlets said Xiaoye’s rushed debut actually reflects the increasingly intense competition in the vaping industry.

Before news broke that Peng Jinzhou had left to create Xiaoye vaping products, rumors that “Luo is switching to the vaping business” had been circulating widely. It was not until Peng posted on Weibo on the 12th announcing that he had entered the vaping industry that those rumors were officially clarified.

On April 12, Peng Jinzhou posted on Weibo: “I’ve started a business in vaping. Our first product will launch this month, ...” Luo Yonghao then reposted it, saying: “Old Peng is starting Xiaoye vaping, and I fully support him. ...”

Some media joked that Zhu Xiaomu created “Flow” while Peng Jinzhou founded “Xiaoye” — one Smartisan ended up producing two vaping startups.
