Hands-On Review of the New SMOK RPM40 Pod Device with Adjustable Wattage and Screen
Hello everyone, I have been reviewing a lot of devices lately; I just shared one yesterday, and today I continue; first, I want to thank everyone for your regular attention and interaction through comments; secondly, I apologize to those who have not received benefits from us for a long time; we will provide more opportunities and slots for benefits, hoping that every friend who follows us can not only learn and communicate here but also gain something material, at least let everyone have a chance to receive a benefit! Alright, without further ado, let’s get into today’s review of the new e-cigarette product.
This time, I bring you SMOK's new product, the RPM40 KIT.
SMOK is always meticulous about e-cigarettes, consistently maintaining high quality and high standards for its products. I believe many friends saw in the previous posts that SMOK released three new products at once, all of which are highly regarded in terms of design and popularity, and this RPM40 small device seems to be targeting another well-known brand (you can guess which one), so it looks like there will be quite a bit of competition.

The refillable pod system you are looking for is here, the SMOK NOVO 2 e-cigarette review
Why did I raise SMOK so high at the beginning of the article? First, the outer packaging's plastic film is perfect.
Regardless of the brand or product, the plastic film seal on the outer packaging is essential. I believe many people have encountered the frustration of needing tools to open the packaging when unboxing. I can relate to this. Just imagine, when the craving hits, but there are no scissors or a knife nearby, unless you use your teeth, otherwise, you won’t be able to open that layer of plastic film. I ask you, isn’t that frustrating?
SMOK has made a laser-embossed dotted line on the plastic film, similar to the tear strip on cigarette packs; you just need to pull it gently, and it’s done. This small detail is something I hope other brands can learn from. No matter how good the product is, being held back by a layer of film is really frustrating!
This device currently comes in multiple colors; for this review, we chose the classic white.
The outer packaging matches the color of the device, featuring a classic white top and bottom design. The kit includes:
1 x Main Device,
1 x USB Data Cable,
1 x Instruction Manual,
1 x Warranty Card,
1 x RPM 0.4Ω Pod,
1 x Nord 0.6Ω Pod.
This white model with colorful paint has a classic combination with a strong postmodern style. The 0.4Ω core is a mesh atomizer, while the 0.6Ω is a classic combination of wire and cotton.
This time, we tested the two different atomizer cores with a motorcycle e-liquid to see what different flavors we could get. The red one is the mesh, while the black one is the wire + cotton. The device is adjustable in wattage, featuring a liquid crystal display in the middle, and the fire button and adjustment buttons have a very comfortable resistance, providing a great tactile feel.
The effect after lighting up the screen is quite nice; this time SMOK has equipped it with a 1500mAh battery, so battery life is not a concern. The fire button is square and very comfortable to press, while below the screen are two slender adjustment buttons, which also feel great, and the playability of this device is particularly good. #p#分页标题#e#
First, it can lock the entire firing and wattage adjustment process, similar to what we do with adjustable wattage boxes; you just need to press the fire button three times quickly. The benefit of this is that when it’s in your pocket, you don’t have to worry about any accidental presses causing dangerous situations. Pressing both adjustment buttons simultaneously will lock your current wattage, preventing any accidental changes that could lead to burning the coil or making it difficult to draw.
Careful friends will notice that the screen colors seem to differ from the previous one. That’s right, this is another fun feature of the RPM40; from the photos, we can see that the screen display content is quite rich. At the top is the brand logo and battery level, followed by the currently set wattage, and below that is the duration of your draw, followed by the resistance, voltage output (which is 0 when not firing, and will change according to your 30-watt output when you draw), and the number of puffs.
The key point is at the bottom, where you can set the screen display color to red, yellow, blue, purple, green, or white. The operation is extremely simple; just press the fire button and the right adjustment button simultaneously. However, it’s important to note that when adjusting the color, make sure to only press briefly; do not hold the fire button down for too long, as this could damage the atomizer core.
Regarding flavor, I’ll just share my own feelings, as this is somewhat subjective and not everyone will have the same experience. The 0.4Ω mesh atomizer has a mild preheat on the first puff, but from the second puff onwards, it can restore the flavor of the e-liquid quite well, and deep lung inhales allow you to clearly experience the layers of the e-liquid.
In today’s world of nicotine salts, being able to switch up flavors truly brings back the feeling of big clouds. The 0.6Ω wire + cotton, due to slightly increased resistance, feels best when using a small lung inhale; start with a light inhale, then remove the atomizer and inhale deeper, with hazelnut mixed with a hint of chocolate flavor that is quite intoxicating.
To cater to the DIY curiosity and vaping fun of some experienced users, this RPM40 small device also supports DIY, but considering that many players are novices, I won’t elaborate further; those who want to learn how to make RBA can directly reply "RPM40" on the public account to get a visual guide.
As for mouth-to-lung hits, first, the airflow is empty, and second, 6MG e-liquid is certainly not as satisfying as nicotine salts for mouth-to-lung hits; after all, the RPM40 with these two cores is not meant for mouth-to-lung nicotine salt vaping. However, it’s worth noting that the 0.6Ω core is interchangeable with the Nord, and SMOK also offers a 1.4Ω core, available in two specifications: one ceramic core and one wire + cotton core. If any friends want to use the RPM40 for mouth-to-lung nicotine salts, they can purchase the 1.4Ω core.
The collision of historical accumulation and technological innovation is like the RPM40 of yesteryear, a beauty with outstanding performance. The design details are what truly entice consumers to make a purchase; even a small tear strip may win over an increasing market share. Only by being attentive can you be considerate. #p#分页标题#e#
Finally, we wish SMOK can develop more classic devices and hope the new RPM40 can sell well. The above only represents personal views; please don’t criticize if you disagree. See you next time!
