iv Aiwi Adds New Flavors to Its Best-Seller Lineup: Hands-On Review

With so many e-cigarettes available now, I wonder which one you all encounter the most, and whether you have a long-term e-cigarette or e-liquid that you rely on?

I believe the answers may vary based on individual preferences and the different promotions encountered. Among the many pod flavors, the most likely candidates are mint and mung bean, which have been the most frequently adopted basic flavors since the rise of small pods.

Today, we are specifically reviewing a new mung bean flavor e-cigarette from iv Aiwi, along with several other novel flavors that were not featured in the last review.

In the previous review, I mentioned some information about the iv Aiwi brand. Today, let’s revisit it. iv Aiwi e-cigarettes are a brand product under Beijing Zhong Aiwei Technology Co., Ltd. The brand founder, Zhang Gengbin, currently serves as a director of the China E-Cigarette Association, and has previously been the founding operations manager of JiuXian.com, the head of the Taiwan Pavilion on Taobao, and the founder of Snail Fast Purchase. Previously, I heard many praises about this e-cigarette's flavor, and some friends jokingly said that it’s no wonder it comes from a big player in the alcohol industry, as even the e-cigarette pod flavors are so rich and enticing.

Below, we will focus on tasting the newly launched mung bean flavor and several popular flavors, with each flavor being individually packaged, and each box containing two pods.

【Pod Flavor Experience】

Currently, we are testing three flavors, one being the newly developed mung bean flavor, and the other two are popular flavors from iv Aiwi.

Mung Bean Smoothie:

The mung bean smoothie is a key new flavor launched by iv Aiwi. In an era where mung bean flavors are standard for small pods, achieving high flavor fidelity while maintaining a pleasant taste requires effort. This flavor carries a soft mung bean aroma, not overly rich, with a hint of sweetness and a refreshing coolness in the aftertaste, making it quite enjoyable.

Similarly, among the other flavors, one of my favorites is one that I didn’t get to taste in the last review, which is said to be their flavor hot list—Pineapple Breeze and Margarita.

Pineapple Breeze:

This is a cocktail-flavored pod that iv Aiwi promotes. As a brand with a background in the alcohol industry, it naturally incorporates current popular elements and flavors into its pod offerings. Of course, this flavor contains no alcohol; it primarily uses pineapple juice, coconut juice, and white and dark rum as the main base, creating a blend that gives you a tipsy feeling, making it especially suitable for use during a busy workday to help you relax.

Margarita:

This flavor also has cocktail attributes. If Pineapple Breeze helps you relax in a tipsy moment, Margarita leans more towards a feminine touch, with a sweet champagne-like flavor that is less pronounced than Pineapple Breeze, making it sweeter and smoother.

【Final Summary】

Of course, many friends believe that they have tried mung bean flavors before, so what distinguishes today’s iv Aiwi mung bean smoothie? If we compare it with other mung bean pod flavors, the difference lies in the smoothness of the taste and the fullness of the inhalation experience. This is because iv Aiwi's pods use a cotton core heating method, making it a representative product among cotton core options.

As for the difference between cotton and ceramic cores, it has always been a topic of discussion among users. At least in several flavors, whether in terms of concentration or the intense satisfaction they provide, the cotton core tends to deliver a stronger experience.

Personally, I feel that the structure of the cotton core allows the heating wire to directly contact the e-liquid on the atomizing cotton, resulting in more thorough vaporization and better flavor clarity. Additionally, the direct and faster heating method of the cotton core allows for a fuller experience right from the first puff, and the overall flavor and vapor production are well represented, including the concern users have about burnt cores, which are less likely to occur with cotton cores.
