Motto E-Cigarette Flavor Review
A long time ago, I tried the Motto pod system, and the flavor was truly impressive, showcasing the high level of oil formulation typical of American brands. However, the quality control of the older devices had some flaws, often resulting in connectivity issues. This time, I received a new device along with some new flavor pods, and the craftsmanship of the device has clearly been upgraded, with a more refined surface treatment and virtually no connectivity issues. The pods have also been improved to address the earlier problem of excessive leaking and condensation. I selected several flavors for a detailed review.
Flavor restoration and throat hit:
Each box contains three pods, with each pod holding 1.8ml of e-liquid, and the heating material is cotton core.
Virginia Tobacco: Nicotine content is 5%, with a strong throat hit. The flavor accurately replicates Virginia tobacco, with a unique caramel sweetness complemented by cocoa and nut aromas, resulting in a rich taste. Motto's tobacco has never disappointed me and is the only brand I genuinely like among electronic cigarette tobacco flavors. [Flavor Rating: 8.5/10]
Black Explosion: Nicotine content is 4%, with a moderate throat hit. The initial draw feels like an American cola with ice, with a sweetness that is not overly direct. The carbonation is subtle, with a strong fresh bubble sensation, paired with a slightly above-average coolness, making it very refreshing. [Flavor Rating: 8.5/10]
Crispy Watermelon: Nicotine content is 4%, with a moderate throat hit. The flavor aims to replicate watermelon juice, and while the aroma is quite natural, the continuity of the taste needs improvement; after continuous draws, the aftertaste is not pleasant, suggesting adjustments are needed. [Flavor Rating: 7/10]
Awakening Mint: Nicotine content is 4%, with a moderate throat hit. The focus is on the herbal aroma of menthol, but the flavoring seems a bit heavy, making it less comfortable for continuous draws. The coolness is slightly above average, with a hint of sweetness. Personally, I don't like sweetness in mint flavors, so this one depends on individual preference. [Flavor Rating: 7/10]
Stir-Fried Mung Bean: Nicotine content is 4%, with a moderate throat hit. The flavor of stir-fried beans? This is the first time I've encountered this direction for mung bean, with a somewhat charred aroma from high heat. I personally don't like this flavor. [Flavor Rating: 6.5/10]
Fragrant Yellow Lemon: Nicotine content is 4%, with a moderate throat hit. The first draw reveals a faintly refreshing aroma of lemon peel, very fresh in style, reminiscent of cologne. However, after continuous draws, it becomes somewhat disastrous; I've heard several readers mention that this flavor starts to taste like dish soap towards the end, and I personally agree, finding it unacceptable. I hope the manufacturer makes adjustments. [Flavor Rating: 5.5/10]
Overall Evaluation:
Last year, when I tried Motto, I found the flavor very impressive. Although there were some issues, the quality of the e-liquid and flavoring was undeniably excellent. This time, the experience with the classic Virginia tobacco flavor still showcases Motto's expertise in tobacco, allowing me to consider it as my main flavor, which is a high praise for tobacco. I also found the cola flavor quite appealing. However, the biggest issue lies with several other flavors, where the continuity of the taste clearly needs enhancement. The inconsistency between the initial and aftertaste significantly affects the experience. I believe that given Motto's high standard in oil formulation, such obvious flaws should not exist, and I hope the manufacturer pays more attention to this and makes targeted improvements. [Overall Rating: 7.5/10]
