No matter what type of vape atomizer you own, you can only get the most out of it if you take the necessary steps to keep it clean. To be completely honest, sometimes it can be very difficult to make that effort. Cannabis releases a very sticky resin when heated, and this resin can severely affect the performance of your device. The resin clogs the vapor pathways, obstructing airflow. It can also clog the tank of your vape atomizer, reducing heating efficiency. As these resins go through repeated heating and cooling cycles, they become harder, denser, and more difficult to remove.

In other words, periodically giving your vape atomizer a light clean is much easier than doing a deep clean after a few months — this is our first cleaning tip for your vape atomizer. In this article, we will provide more tips to help you clean your vaporizer more easily, quickly, and enjoyably — no matter what type of vape you have. You will also learn a simple trick to reclaim the resin stuck on the removable parts of your vaporizer. Let's get started!

The most important tools for cleaning any vaporizer are:

Isopropyl alcohol: Cannabis resin is alcohol-soluble, and nothing works better to loosen it than isopropyl alcohol.

Q-tips: You should have plenty of Q-tips in your vape kit. There’s no better tool for absorbing liquefied resin and scrubbing stubborn dirt.

Pipe cleaners: If the herb chamber of your device is at the bottom, then you have a long vapor pathway that is not easy to clean. The best method is to soak the pipe cleaner in alcohol and then let it pass through the vapor pathway. Repeat this until a pipe cleaner comes out clean.

How to reclaim resin to clean your vaporizer:

Next, you need to know that the fastest way to clean any removable parts is to soak them in a bowl of alcohol. This way, you can clean your mouthpiece, drying chamber, and other removable parts made of glass, ceramic, zirconia, silicone, and other alcohol-safe materials. Soaking materials like rubber and plastic in alcohol is fine, but don’t soak them for too long. After soaking in alcohol, the resin rinses off easily in clean water.

However, wouldn’t it be great if you could do something with that resin instead of just washing it down the sink? In fact, you can. Here’s a trick: as you already know, isopropyl alcohol is not safe for consumption. However, there’s no rule saying you have to use isopropyl alcohol to clean your device. Instead, you can use food-safe alcohol.

If you want to get all the benefits from that resin, you can soak the removable parts of your vape in a high-proof alcohol like Everclear. After soaking overnight, you’ll find the alcohol has turned brown. You’ve just made a tincture from the resin collected from the parts of your vaporizer. Filter and bottle the tincture. When you use this tincture, just use a dropper to dispense it. Remember; this is potent stuff.
How to clean the oven of your vape

Cleaning the removable parts of your vaporizer is the easy part. However, cleaning the vape itself is not so easy. The oven of your vape gets very hot, cooking the resin in the herbs and forming a cake that sometimes seems almost impossible to remove. Well, it is possible to make your device's oven look almost new again, and once again, isopropyl alcohol will be your best friend here.

When removing baked resin from the oven of your vape, persistence is key. Make sure you have plenty of Q-tips and a lot of isopropyl alcohol. Dip a Q-tip in the alcohol. You want to get it wet, but not so wet that the alcohol drips into the internal electronics of the device. Push the Q-tip into the oven of the device and start scrubbing until the Q-tip is very dirty. When the Q-tip is deep brown or black, repeat the above steps with the other side of the Q-tip or with a new Q-tip.

After a few minutes of cleaning the oven, you’ll find you have some very dirty Q-tips, and your device's oven looks like it did before. This is where the “persistence” part comes into play. It may seem like the alcohol isn’t doing much, but in reality, it’s dissolving layer after layer of resin. Keep doing this until you see the original white or metallic color of your oven again, and when you continue to vape, you will get better heating performance. #p#分页标题#e#

One important thing to remember when cleaning the oven of your vape is that it is normal for metal or ceramic to discolor due to repeated use. You may still see some stubborn yellow, brown, or black spots even if you’re sure you’ve removed all traces of resin from your device. Discoloration will not affect the flavor or heating performance of your device.
