YOOZ releases the latest Mini Plus limited edition product, igniting the market
Let’s first talk about how the Mini device came about. As market competition intensified, major vaping manufacturers all launched low-priced trial products to attract users. For example, industry leader RELX introduced a 39.9 RMB disposable device. To adapt to and cater to this market, and to provide users with the lowest-cost trial experience, YOOZ took the lead in launching its ultra-low-priced entry-level product, the YOOZ Mini device, in May 2020, priced at only 9.9 RMB. Although its performance in various aspects was not as strong as a standard device, it greatly lowered the barrier to entry and met user demand. It was immediately well received by the market, creating value for users while also helping YOOZ take a major step forward in attracting potential customers.
However, as time went on, the YOOZ Mini’s single design style and limited appearance options began to create user fatigue. While YOOZ continued improving its pod flavors, the YOOZ Mini itself had not been updated for a long time. So in May 2021, YOOZ finally launched the YOOZ Mini Plus. According to YOOZ CEO and founder Cai Yuedong, the YOOZ Mini Plus needed to satisfy both the general public and distributors in terms of functionality and price, while also being visually interesting enough to attract younger consumers. Judging from YOOZ’s past bold color combinations, whether glossy or matte, its products have always been eye-catching. It is easy to imagine that the YOOZ Mini Plus was designed to better match young people’s demand for individuality and fashion. Starting from user needs and the market, and designing products that meet or exceed user expectations, has always been YOOZ’s mission. So what performance upgrades does the YOOZ Mini Plus offer?
According to the editor’s understanding, the upgraded YOOZ Mini Plus not only continues the compact body design of the YOOZ Mini, but also delivers notable improvements in draw resistance, throat hit, and battery life. In terms of body material, the YOOZ Mini Plus replaces the plastic construction of the YOOZ Mini with a new sandblasted metal finish, bringing it in line with standard devices. This gives users a more comfortable grip and a stronger sense of quality. The original YOOZ Mini’s single white breathing light has also been upgraded on the YOOZ Mini Plus to a three-color breathing light with the same functionality as standard devices. When the battery level is above 60%, the indicator light is green; when the battery is between 30% and 60%, the light is blue; and when the battery drops below 30%, the light turns red. A more refined detail is that before the battery is completely depleted, the red light will flash continuously 10 times, indicating that the device is out of power and needs to be charged promptly. As for the charging port, the YOOZ Mini Plus has also been upgraded from the traditional Android port used on the YOOZ Mini to the more convenient mainstream Type-C port.
Beyond these tangible performance improvements, YOOZ has also paid close attention to design details. Reportedly, the theme of this YOOZ Mini Plus release is “The Big Bang of Life,” blending different elements together around the idea that “Life may look similar, but I define my own personality”—making you the main character.
