How Good Is the RELX Lingdian Smart Vape? A Simple RELX 3 Review
It just arrived yesterday, and after a few puffs, I can honestly say it’s really good.
First of all, I really have to praise the packaging of the RELX Lingdian. It feels very premium, upscale, and well presented.
I want to say a few extra words here about vape packaging. Some brands seem to think that because most users are men and supposedly do not care about packaging, they can get away with something sloppy. But it really should not feel cheap or careless.
I remember one model from YOOZ. I forgot the exact name, but I remember it had bright red outer packaging and gray diagonal stripes inside. I was honestly shocked. The whole style was terrible. Flashy on the outside, austere on the inside? I really do not understand Luo Yonghao’s taste. And color matching was only the second issue. Inside, there were just two flimsy separator sheets. It felt like a shoddy project. Could they have cut corners any more obviously?
Even though I personally do not mind that much, if I were giving it as a gift, it really would be too embarrassing to hand over.
Anyway, back to the RELX Lingdian.
In terms of appearance, compared with earlier models, this vape device has added a lot of vertical wave-pattern design. I do not personally love the look and thought it felt a bit strange at first, but then I learned it is an anti-slip design to keep it from slipping when you take it out of your pocket, which actually feels very practical. After all, I’m hooked and always like to keep it in my pocket. Even if I am not going out, it is still good to have that extra grip just in case.
As for colors, there are only black and white, which is fairly simple. Mine is black, and it feels calm and understated, generally more suitable for men. Inside, there are four pod flavors.
Two of them, like Buddhist Green Bean and Dark Mint, already appeared with the RELX second-generation Alpha, so they are not new flavors. The green bean flavor tastes a bit like mung bean dessert, with a sweeter and richer feel. I usually do not like sweets, so I am not that used to it. Mint is a classic. Back when I smoked regular cigarettes, I hated having smoky breath, so I always liked keeping mint candy or something fresh in my mouth. Now that I have switched to vaping devices, I still prefer this kind of mint flavor. It is cool and especially refreshing.
The other two are new flavors: one is called Red Energy, and the other is called Cool Tobacco.
Red Energy is really amazing. It clearly has a slightly sweet-and-sour taste, but after just a couple of puffs it feels especially refreshing. It is like drinking a can of Red Bull—you feel energized and full of vitality.
I think Cool Tobacco is mainly minty, but compared with Dark Mint, it is not as icy and the flavor is not as intense. It is softer and gentler, and overall pretty good.
In addition, the main highlight of the Lingdian is its smart electronic experience. The vape device can connect to your phone. When used with the RELXME app, you can see how many puffs you have taken. For people who care about flavor preferences, detailed data, and nicotine intake monitoring reminders, this is a really nice feature. I think it is quite novel. I have never experienced this on other vaping devices before.
Overall, RELX is suitable both for personal use and as a gift. Whether it is the packaging or the smart features, it gives me a premium feel. It looks generous and classy, and at just a few hundred yuan, it is not expensive at all. Pretty nice.
