The Difference Between YOOZ Mini and the Standard YOOZ 2nd Generation Device
For many people trying e-cigarettes for the first time, the first thought is usually to test the experience at a low cost. That is exactly why the Mini device, priced at just 9.9 RMB, meets the needs of users who simply want to give it a try. So, what is the difference between this Mini device and the standard 2nd generation device? This is also something many people who have tried the Mini want to understand. Below is a comparison from several aspects.
Different battery capacity
The Mini device has a 240mAh battery, while the standard 2nd generation device has a 350mAh battery. In other words, when fully charged, the Mini device generally lasts about 1 day, assuming you do not puff too frequently. The standard device, based on the usage of one pod lasting 3–5 days, can be used for about 1.5–2 days on a single charge. Basically, you do not need to worry as much about charging it frequently, and this also helps improve battery lifespan.

Different charging ports
The Mini device uses the traditional Micro-USB port, which is the common charging port found on older Android phones. A common issue with this port is that it is not easy to tell the correct orientation, and its charging speed is also slower than the Type-C port used on the standard 2nd generation device. The standard 2nd generation device uses a Type-C charging port, and many users often charge it with Type-C fast chargers designed for smartphones. Most devices can be charged and used normally without any problem, but a small number of devices may suffer battery damage due to substandard battery quality combined with the use of high-power fast chargers, which can affect normal use. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone try not to use high-power fast chargers, and also avoid using portable power banks for charging whenever possible. Otherwise, some specialty stores may determine that the damage was caused by improper use and may refuse replacement.
Different exterior materials
The Mini device has a painted plastic shell and is also one size smaller than the standard 2nd generation device. The 2nd generation device uses an aluminum alloy body, with finishes and craftsmanship including glossy gradient, glossy solid color, sandblasted gradient, and sandblasted solid color options, allowing users to choose according to personal preference.
Different chipset power
The Mini device has lower atomizer power and weaker vaporization performance, which means less vapor production and a less satisfying experience. The YOOZ 2nd generation device uses a FEELM honeycomb ceramic coil, delivering better vaporization, much stronger vapor production, and a more pronounced throat hit, resulting in a better overall user experience.
Different reminder functions
The Mini device does not have vibration alerts. When inserting a pod or charging, you can only rely on a small and not very obvious light indicator at the bottom. The 2nd generation device includes a 15-puff vibration reminder, a magnetic pod insertion vibration alert, an excessive single-puff vibration alert, and smart reminders such as low e-liquid warnings. Its indicator light also has a breathing light effect while charging: white for 60%–100% battery, green for 30%–60%, and red for below 30%. And of course, once it is fully charged—or completely out of power—the light will not stay on.
Finally, the device itself (that is, the atomizer) is essentially like a lighter. For users, the most important thing is still the comfort of the actual vaping experience, especially the pod flavor. If the pod flavor and draw feel are good, then using a 1 RMB lighter or a Zippo lighter makes little real difference. So compared with the Mini device, the main advantage of the standard device is the improved vaping experience; the other differences are secondary.
