What Exactly Was Upgraded in the YOOZ 2nd Gen Compared with the 1st Gen?

YOOZ e-cigarettes are currently in their second generation. As a flagship device, it naturally needs to include mainstream features.

1. An intelligent vibration reminder function has been added. There are three scenarios: one when a replacement pod is inserted, another when the charging cable is plugged in, and the last when you take a certain number of puffs within a short period of time—the official number is 15.

2. It uses a three-color indicator light: red, green, and white. Red means the battery is below 30%, green means 30%–60%, and white means 60%–100%.

3. There are two charging indicator prompts: a flashing red light means the battery is below 10% and it’s time to charge; when charging is complete and the white light turns off, it means the device is fully charged.

The second-generation YOOZ uses a unified Type-C port for easier plug-in alignment, but that does not mean it supports high-power fast charging.

5. The internal sealing of the device has been reinforced, which can help prevent condensation from seeping in and provide some protection for the circuit board after accidental water exposure, thereby extending service life.

After battery optimization, battery life has been extended by about one-third.

An anti-tamper buckle has been added to prevent outsiders from recycling and disassembling the internal core of the YOOZ device and replacing the outer shell. This is intended to reduce the circulation of high-grade counterfeits and limit DIY modification opportunities.

8. The second-generation YOOZ color finishes are roughly divided into matte solid colors, matte gradients, glossy solid colors, and glossy gradients. Because the manufacturing complexity varies, prices differ, but the internal functions are the same.

9. At present, YOOZ e-cigarettes are OEM-manufactured by two companies: SMOORE and Alpha. Each has some differences in details.
