How many packs of cigarettes is one YOOZ pod equal to? How many days does one pod last? (The truth f

First, let’s look at feedback from actual YOOZ users:

  • User 1:

I’ve been using YOOZ for three months, and basically go through one pod every three days… but when I come across flavors I really like, such as grape, lychee, or mint, it may be gone in two days… I used to smoke at least a pack a day, and now one pod can last me two or three days. Honestly, saying one pod equals three packs of cigarettes—just listen, don’t believe it too literally…

  • User 2:

I don’t know about anything else. But for me, one YOOZ pod is normally about equal to 2.5 packs of cigarettes, and it’s gone in three or four days. Under normal circumstances, I smoke nearly a pack a day.

  • User 3:

It depends on how heavy your cravings are. Generally, for most people it lasts about three days. But I’m a light user, so one pod can last me a week or even two. Some of my friends can finish one pod in a single day.

  • User 4:

It should be about equal to 2.5 packs. I usually replace one every two days~

So exactly how many packs of cigarettes is one YOOZ pod equal to? The answer is: one pod is roughly equivalent to about three packs of cigarettes.

From a calculation standpoint, one YOOZ pod contains 2 ml and normally provides around 300–500 puffs. Based on the standard conversion of 12 puffs per cigarette, that comes to just under three packs of cigarettes.

Going through one pod in three days is roughly comparable, in puffing frequency, to smoking about one pack a day, so the level of use is not unusually high. A regular cigarette typically contains 1.5–3 mg of nicotine, or about 30–60 mg per pack; three packs would be close to 90–180 mg. A 5% pod contains 50 mg/ml, so with a 2 ml capacity it contains 100 mg of nicotine, which is close to the lower end of the cigarette range. In that sense, nicotine intake from vaping devices is not necessarily higher.

However, one thing should be noted: the nicotine mentioned above is not all absorbed by the human body. It is currently estimated that only about 20% of the nicotine in cigarettes actually enters the body, while there is not yet comparable research for vaping devices. So the above calculation assumes that nicotine absorption from vaping devices and cigarettes is the same or similar.
