Calling this a “simple tip” may be a bit of an exaggeration. I’ve seen some users say their RELX Alpha pods keep leaking, and I’ve also heard that Infinity has the same issue now. Other anti-leak methods have already been shared by some users, so I won’t repeat them. What I’m talking about here is something I can’t fully explain myself—it’s just something I’ve tested repeatedly and found to be true.

It’s actually very simple: the protective cap on the bottom of a new pod. Once a pod has been opened and used, don’t put that bottom cap back on just to protect the pod, because doing so really does seem to make it more likely to leak. I don’t know exactly why. I discovered this by accident, then tested it several times, and every time I put the cap back onto a used pod, it was more likely to leak.

Most users seem to do the same thing—open several pod flavors at once and switch between them so they don’t get tired of using just one flavor all the time. But if you’re rotating between pods, there’s really no need to keep putting that cap back on for protection. You can just leave the pods as they are when switching between them—don’t put the cap back on. Oh, and the same goes for that small mouthpiece plug on the Infinity as well.
