How to tell genuine from fake YOOZ 2nd-generation device bodies and pods?
Currently, there are many counterfeit YOOZ products, and a significant number of people purchase them from friends at the price of genuine products, while many others buy authentic ones.
So, what are some simple and effective methods to identify them? There are indeed many ways. If you have a genuine device and cartridge, comparing them makes it easy to identify. If not, you can look for a few key points, but meeting these criteria does not guarantee authenticity; it just increases the probability of being genuine to about 90%.
1. If the cartridge's atomizer is not an S-shaped heating wire, it is definitely fake. You can check the cotton core after use; this unique S-shaped heating wire is produced by McCoy. The photo may not be very clear due to flash, but you can see it.

2. If the color on the device is uneven, it is likely fake.
3. If you buy the device and cartridge together and the cartridge is fake, the device is most likely fake as well.
4. If your device is from an older batch and the channel code on the device does not match the box, it is definitely fake.

5. The workmanship of the cartridge's plug may also have slight differences.

Generally, products purchased from authorized retail stores are unlikely to be counterfeit, as authorized stores have high profit margins and have no incentive to sell fakes. They are authorized by the brand and typically must meet certain requirements to operate in reputable shopping malls. If you want to verify at a retail store, it is advisable to go to larger malls rather than small street shops or mixed stores (which sell various e-cigarettes), as they may not have sufficient brand authorization, making their products less trustworthy. Alternatively, you can go to long-established stores for verification.
The above points are relatively simple and suitable for newcomers. If anyone is reading this, I will update with more detailed methods. Many people try to identify authenticity through font color, position, ink dots, and very subtle inconsistencies, but this method is quite subjective and can only assist in identification. E-cigarettes are not high-precision instruments, and quality control is not that strict, nor does it need to be. Authentic products may have slight differences due to batch variations. If you don't believe it, buy a few packs of instant noodles and compare them.
