What Is LAMI’s Flavor Development Strategy? Focus on Quality, Not Quantity

While some competing brands offer dozens of flavors, LAMI does not take a “numbers game” approach to flavors. LAMI’s flavor strategy focuses on specialization rather than sheer quantity. Its flavor R&D starts from the most original state of the tens of thousands of botanical compounds it owns, rather than simply purchasing modularized flavors. This makes a fundamental difference in improving flavor quality and performance. In LAMI’s view, flavors should not rely on “outsourcing.”

  Recently, LAMI expanded its fruit series with the addition of “Grape” and “Passion Fruit” flavors.   In its upgraded herbal series, it developed “Osmanthus Cola” and “Ice Storm,” both upgraded versions of LAMI’s previous best-selling flavors.   Particularly distinctive is “Original Herbal,” which also comes in a “0 Nicotine” version. This is another example of LAMI putting its herbal vaporization philosophy into practice, and it is sure to leave a very deep impression on you. “Caramel Milk Tea” and “Early Spring Tea” are also attempts at a tea beverage flavor series.   At the same time, LAMI also launched an affordable entry-level device priced at just 39 yuan. It comes in a sticker-style version, with patterns that can change endlessly to meet customers’ personalized needs. The key point here is that if the affordable device is to be truly successful, its draw experience must remain exactly the same as that of the metal device. To achieve that, some sacrifice in cost is unavoidable. If the two devices produce different experiences or different flavor performance when used with the same brand’s pods, that would be a case of missing the bigger picture for a smaller gain.   So LAMI has also tried to introduce a more affordable product with a lower cost of entry for first-time use. Of course, if it gets lost, users probably won’t feel too bad about it, and it offers a relatively low and convenient replacement cost.
