Why Does the Flavor of RELX Vaping Devices Become Faint?
Many RELX vaping device users have run into this issue: after vaping for a while, the flavor seems to disappear. So why does the taste become weaker, or gradually fade away altogether?
In fact, there are probably two main reasons for this. Today, Manager Wu will explain them briefly.
This usually shows up like this: you may have enjoyed a certain RELX pod flavor for a long time, but then suddenly one day you stop liking it, or your tongue seems to lose sensitivity and you can no longer clearly taste its original flavor. If that happens, you are likely experiencing what we call “flavor fatigue.”

If RELX users experience this, here are four suggestions from Manager Wu to help improve “flavor fatigue.”
1. Drink water in moderation and stay hydrated. Using RELX can sometimes cause a dry mouth, and saliva is one of the key factors in keeping your sense of taste functioning normally. Without enough saliva, taste sensitivity decreases, which can lead to “flavor fatigue”;
2. Try more flavors to keep your taste buds active and sensitive. Manager Wu recommends that RELX users avoid sticking to just one flavor for too long, even if it is your favorite. Doing so can reduce the activity and sensitivity of your taste buds, so switching flavors occasionally can effectively help prevent flavor fatigue;
3. Stimulate your taste buds and wake up your flavor sensitivity. You can use things like mint candy or chewing gum to stimulate your taste buds and restore sensitivity to flavorings. However, Manager Wu does not particularly recommend this method, because the effect does not last very long, and sensitivity may drop again after a few hours;
4. Take it easy and avoid vaping devices for a short time. Flavor fatigue when using RELX is actually quite normal. You can simply stop using vaping devices for a short period, stay calm, and wait about three days for your taste sensitivity to gradually recover before trying again. There is no need to panic too much.
If you cannot taste your RELX pods, do not panic. In most cases, if it is not severe, it is not permanent. Based on feedback from users who have experienced this, it usually lasts around 1 to 3 days. In slightly more serious cases, it may take a bit longer, but it will gradually return to normal.
Manager Wu suggests that RELX users rotate between 3 to 4 flavors, which can basically help avoid flavor fatigue while using RELX.
If you only have one device, you can open two pods at the same time and alternate between them. That way, when you switch back to the first pod, the flavor loss will not feel as strong. If you have multiple devices, then this is even less of an issue. I usually rotate between the 1st-generation Classic, the 2nd-generation Alpha, and the 3rd-generation Lingdian devices. Along with the brand’s ongoing improvements, I rarely feel that the flavor fades now, or at least I no longer get that sensation where only the cooling effect is left at the end.
The above is just a small personal suggestion based on my own experience. I hope it is helpful to all RELX users, and you are also welcome to discuss it in the comments.
