LAMI’s Three New Flavors Reviewed
This review is based on feedback from LAMI’s internal-test pod experience reviewer, focusing mainly on three new flavors: Fresh Blueberry, Tropical Storm, and Ryukakusan Power.

Fresh Blueberry: When you open the package, you get a rich blueberry aroma, and with a closer inhale you can also notice a light sweet-and-tart note. On the draw, the blueberry flavor is full and intense, almost like blueberry jam. The cooling is moderate, the flavor reproduction is quite high, and the throat hit is on the lighter side. In the finish, there’s a slight creamy note, like blueberry cream, and on the exhale it leaves a fairly pure fruity aroma with a hint of coolness mixed in. Overall, it tastes a bit similar to blackcurrant, but without the tartness or astringency, and it’s also sweeter. The flavor before and after the draw is richer as well. Personally, I think it would be even better with slightly less sweetness, but if you’re a fruit-flavor fan, this one should suit you very well.
Tropical Storm: When you open the package, the aroma is rather unusual, like a mix of several tropical fruits blended together. If you’ve ever had the beverage called Nongfu Orchard, it’s somewhat similar to one of the flavors in that lineup. On the draw, the flavor is quite complex but still rich, with moderate sweetness, low cooling, and a relatively strong throat hit. Overall, there is also a slight bitterness and astringency. The finish does not change dramatically, but it feels a bit sweeter, with a faint preserved plum note, and the cooling also increases slightly. On the exhale, the fruity aroma spreads nicely without any sour or astringent aftertaste. Personally, I think the overall flavor has a rich sense of layering. If the cooling were turned up a little more, it would be an even better flavor.
Ryukakusan Power: Ryukakusan is a very popular Japanese “throat candy,” somewhat similar to Jin Sang Zi in China, and is mainly used to soothe and refresh the throat, so when you open the package there is a strong herbal aroma. On the draw, the tongue picks up sweetness and slight astringency, and the flavor is somewhat like a throat lozenge. The cooling is relatively high, the throat hit is strong, and it feels very satisfying. On the exhale, it carries the characteristic Ryukakusan flavor—slightly bitter at first, then turning sweet, with a light sweetness in the finish, making it very smooth to vape. It’s worth noting that Ryukakusan “throat candy” comes in three flavors: peach, mango, and mint, and Ryukakusan Power is closer to the mint version.
As we all know, internal testing of pods is not common in the closed-pod segment. Among many pod products, only LAMI has such broad test coverage. Before launching a new flavor, LAMI generally releases a round of internal testing first in order to identify potential issues with the pods and optimize or adjust them in time.
