Simple Review of the LAMI ZERO+ Heated Tobacco Product
LAMI ZERO is a domestically produced HNB (Heated Not Burned) product developed by the well-established Guangdong tobacco company Wuyesheng Group, making it somewhat of a national team player.
Price:
Device 238 RMB each
Tobacco sticks 238 RMB per pack, with 200 sticks per pack
Device Overview:
The heating method uses an aluminum alloy heating needle, which avoids the fragility issues associated with the heating plates found in IQOS devices.
Close-up of the heating needle, which is thick enough that it is unlikely to break easily...
The size and weight of the device are similar to that of small vaping devices, featuring an aluminum alloy body, a battery capacity of 900 mAh, and a Type-C interface that does not support fast charging, with an input of 5V 0.8A, taking about 40 minutes to fully charge.
In the off state, pressing the power button three times allows for power adjustment, affecting the smoke output, with three levels of adjustment.
In the off state, pressing the power button five times activates the cleaning mode, which burns off carbon buildup and residual oil on the heating needle.
Long press to turn on/off; all three lights must be on and the device vibrates before you can start inhaling. It will automatically shut off after 10 puffs or if it overheats.

Tobacco Sticks:
The packaging is similar to that of cigarettes, with 20×10 boxes = 200 sticks, with 10 sticks in each small pack, sealed with moisture-proof stickers. The outer packaging indicates flavor intensity, cooling level, and nicotine content, but the nicotine content is not specified in numerical form.
Each small pack of 10 sticks indicates a tobacco flavor intensity of 5 stars, cooling level of 1 star, and nicotine concentration of 5 stars.
According to the manufacturer, LAMI ZERO tobacco sticks are herbal products containing nicotine but no tobacco components, thus still falling under the category of electronic cigarettes. In addition to the original tobacco flavor shown in the image, there are also nicotine-free coffee mint flavor products.

Inhalation Experience:
Overall: The draw resistance is relatively high, and the smoke output is low; even at maximum power, there is no thick cloud of smoke. The initial experience requires an adaptation period. The taste is smooth, and there is not much dryness after inhalation, which is better than traditional cigarettes and vaping devices. However, due to the absence of tobacco components, the craving-satisfying effect is weaker than that of IQOS products containing tobacco.
Tobacco Flavor: The taste is similar to a blended cigarette but very mild; those accustomed to smoking traditional or vaping devices may find it a bit harsh initially and will need an adaptation period.
Nicotine-free coffee flavor: The coffee flavor is rich, but it requires small puffs; taking large puffs may result in a noticeable separation of coffee and mint flavors.
Additionally, there is a flavor with cooling level 5, coffee flavor 3, and nicotine 0, which I have tried in-store and is quite similar to the coffee flavor I purchased.
In practical tests, one tobacco stick can be inhaled about 15 times, and the residual heat after automatic shutdown can support 2-3 more puffs. Although it can be inhaled again after restarting, the taste may become burnt and worse. Charging the device for 10 puffs is sufficient to finish 20 sticks.
Comparing a new tobacco stick with an empty one, it can be observed that there is still a small amount of oil exuded after use.
As a new product, HNB (Heated Not Burned) has also entered the national spotlight, with many provincial tobacco companies beginning to layout HNB products, but large-scale market entrants are still few. In this situation, LAMI ZERO is a good choice, whether as an affordable alternative to IQOS or as an introductory HNB product.
