User Experience Sharing: RELX, MOTI, and YOOZ, Three Mainstream Vaping Brands
After covering countless miles and trying dozens of vaping devices, I’ve noticed a lot of people on Zhihu recently asking the same question: how should you choose between RELX, MOTI, and YOOZ? I happen to be a vaping enthusiast myself, so I figured I’d share my thoughts. RELX, MOTI, and YOOZ are all well-known mainstream brands, so here’s a brief rundown of my personal experience to help beginners avoid some common pitfalls.

The three devices above (from left to right: YOOZ 2nd Gen, MOTI S Lite, and RELX Infinity) are the three products I’ve used for the longest time, and all of them left me with a pretty good impression overall. MOTI S Lite was the last one I started using, and in terms of vapor production and overall user experience, it completely outperformed the YOOZ 2nd Gen and RELX Infinity on either side. Why do I say that? Let me briefly go over these three products below.
RELX has two major problems that anyone who has used it probably already knows: once leaking starts, the fruity flavor is basically gone and all that’s left is a cooling sensation. There’s not much more to say. For many people, RELX may have been their first vaping device, probably because it has lots of offline stores and because the brand built up strong recognition early on, so plenty of people followed the trend.
YOOZ was founded by the “Tongdao Dashu” boss, a figure who came from the new media world, and the brand naturally launched with a sense of individuality and energy, becoming popular very quickly. In its early days, YOOZ offered a wide range of flavors and colorful device designs, and it once attracted a large following comparable to RELX. In terms of the product itself, its leak rate is indeed better than RELX’s by a noticeable margin, but while the pod flavors are varied, they are not especially refined. In other words, there aren’t many YOOZ flavors that I personally really like, though Ice Grape is one of the better ones.
MOTI S Lite was something I first saw in the hands of a coworker. We got to talking about it, and he let me try one. My first puff was mango flavor, and it left a really deep impression. In terms of both the vapor taste and fruit flavor reproduction, my YOOZ 2nd Gen and RELX Infinity simply couldn’t compare. In two words: absolutely amazing. The draw is very smooth, and after inhaling slowly for 2–3 seconds, the vapor feels very full in the mouth. It’s also not harsh on the throat when inhaled into the lungs—that feel was seriously satisfying. Later, my coworker told me it also had a boosted mode that can be activated by unplugging and reinserting the pod three times. I took another puff and could clearly feel the increase in vapor volume, with the flavor becoming even more pronounced. I liked it immediately. After that, I decisively got into it. Honestly, there’s not much more to say—being that good is enough!
Now, even though I still use all three devices, as long as my MOTI S Lite has battery left, I basically don’t even think about using RELX or YOOZ. Aside from trying new flavors, there’s rarely a reason to switch. As for MOTI S Lite flavors, to be honest, it’s hard to go wrong. I mainly want to recommend a few of my absolute favorites: mango goes without saying and is a must-try, plus kiwi, rose, peach oolong, sweet orange, Longjing, and cola.
