Why Do RELX Pods Lose Flavor After a Few Days of Use?
I’m not sure whether everyone has noticed this when using RELX products: after continuously using the same pod for a while, the flavor seems to become weaker. Here’s a small tip that may help with this situation.
What to do when the flavor becomes lighter
So why does the flavor seem to fade? Personally, I think there are probably two reasons.
The first is that if you keep using the same pod continuously, you gradually get used to that flavor. After a while, it starts to feel too familiar, and you can develop a kind of flavor fatigue.
The second reason is naturally minor flaws in the pod flavor itself during formulation and design. Anyone who has filled out the product reviewer questionnaire or user survey probably knows that one of the questions is about whether the flavor becomes weaker over time. The official team is also working hard to solve this issue.
Of course, the second reason is an objective factor that we can’t solve ourselves. But for the first situation, I can offer a small suggestion. It really comes down to personal pod usage habits. Some people don’t like using one flavor all the way through, so they open several pods at the same time and rotate between them. In that case, the chance of feeling that a certain flavor has become weaker is relatively lower. For people like me who focus on one pod until it’s finished before switching to another, it’s much easier to feel like the flavor is fading. So what should you do?
If you only have one device, you might want to open two pods at the same time and alternate between them. That way, when you switch back to the first pod, the feeling of flavor loss won’t be as strong. If you have multiple devices, then this problem basically doesn’t exist. I usually rotate between the 1st generation Classic, 2nd generation Alpha, and 3rd generation Lingdian devices. Together with the brand’s ongoing improvements, I rarely feel that the flavor fades anymore, or at least it won’t get to the point where only the cooling sensation is left at the end.
