Aspire OBY: A Constant-Voltage, Simple, and Comfortable MTL Vaping Device
Today I’d like to introduce a device: the Aspire OBY. Yes, another Aspire product—most people in the vaping community should already be familiar with the brand.
This is a refillable device that hasn’t been heavily promoted, and it can be considered an entry-level option.

Overview and operation
The packaging is getting smaller and more refined. The circle in the upper-right corner shows the device color. Inside the box, you get 1 device, 1 mesh coil pod, 1 user manual, and 1 charging cable. It uses a Type-C interface, and the 500mAh battery can basically last about a day and a half. The overall design is quite mainstream. The pod does not connect to the device with the magnetic attachment people usually see—instead, it uses a snap-fit design. That’s actually my favorite part, because it has almost no wobble at all.

The Aspire OBY’s coil has a special feature: an atomizing pod that uses A1 heating material plus a mesh structure, which delivers something like high definition plus strong output. The 1.2-ohm mesh coil also helps extend pod lifespan. Most importantly, the OBY uses constant-voltage output (3.7V, which ensures the same richness and intensity from the first puff to the last before the battery dies), so the hit is very strong. I especially tried it with Aspire’s own Solar System B series lemon green tea e-liquid. The flavor layering and clarity were excellent. For a complex flavor like this, you don’t need to sip it slowly to appreciate it—the device gives you a rich, full sensation right away.

Personal impressions after use
After using it for a while, I found that this A1 coil does not excessively boost sweetness the way the Koko2 does. Thanks to the specially treated mesh, the vapor is denser and smoother than on other mesh-coil devices. That said, the sweetness is a bit higher than on the Aspire ZQ I reviewed before. The cooling effect is relatively moderate, leaning slightly low. Personally, I feel the draw is a bit too airy, but if you block one side of the airflow hole, it gets much better.

Personal summary
This is an entry-level refillable vaping device. To sum it up: simple, with constant-voltage output and an A1 mesh coil, giving strong output, abundant vapor, and a smooth, delicate texture. Another major highlight is that the airflow inlet inside the pod chamber has been raised, which helps prevent condensation leakage from blocking the airflow port and causing the auto-draw function to fail.
