CKS Return Debut! Can the FLAKE Pod Device Continue a Classic Legend?

In the past era of big clouds of vapor, the brand "CKS" held a significant place in the hearts of many players.

The various finished atomizers and devices produced by the CKS brand not only left a deep impression in terms of usability but also captivated people with their high aesthetic design and unique detailing.

After a few years of silence, the CKS brand has finally returned to our view with its new product, the Flake refillable pod device. How does this debut return fare? Let's take a look.

First, in terms of packaging, the iconic auspicious cloud beast classic pattern of CKS is still retained on the Flake, showcasing strong brand characteristics.

Upon opening the magnetic box inside, you can see the accessories as shown in the image.

The body, made of gold frosted coarse particles, incorporates 24k gold through electroplating. The central auspicious cloud pattern sticker, combined with the black nickel CKS brand letters and stainless steel stickers on both sides of the device, creates a strong visual impact. In terms of aesthetics, it is truly impeccable.

However, this zinc alloy material, combined with a 700mAh battery and a large size of 100*35*18mm, results in a weight of 97.5 grams, which does feel a bit heavy.

The front of the device is equipped with a 0.66-inch small screen, and on the back, there is a separate switch (press 5 times) / lock (press 3 times) button, while the power adjustment button is located on the side. Pressing both buttons simultaneously can reset the puff count to zero.

The power adjustment range for the Flake is 5-25W, with displays for locking, battery level, and resistance values. The screen brightness may not be sufficient in sunlight.

The factory-configured refillable pods are 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω mesh core pods, and the recommended power range is indicated above. The pods automatically match to an appropriate power level once installed in the device.

Regarding the refill port, the CKS Flake has put significant effort into its sealing mechanism, featuring a separate pull tab to open, which feels much better than the usual silicone plugs.

Additionally, the packaging of the pods includes a spare pull tab to avoid issues if the original one gets damaged, which is a nice touch.

In terms of user experience, the 0.8Ω pod produces ample and rich vapor, with a well-balanced flavor profile across dessert, tobacco, and fruit categories. Both 3mg and 6mg nicotine concentrations work perfectly fine.

The 1.2Ω pod also performs just as well as the 0.8Ω, with a moderate sweetness and excellent control over condensation.

Overall, the CKS Flake, as a comeback product, maintains its aesthetic appeal, ensures quality craftsmanship, and delivers a satisfying flavor experience, all of which are commendable.
