RELX 5th generation has launched. Is the RELX 4th generation vaping device still worth buying?
Many friends have been asking me: is it better to buy the 5th generation or the 4th generation now? Is the RELX 4th generation Infinity still worth buying?

1. Device body material
Both the RELX 4th generation and 5th generation use aluminum alloy with anodized finishing, so both feel quite good in the hand. In terms of grip, the 4th generation Infinity feels slightly rounder than the 5th generation Phantom. Theoretically, the 4th generation has a very slight edge in overall hand feel.
2. Vaping experience
After asking a shop owner who has used RELX for many years, the owner’s answer was that they lean slightly toward the 4th generation, for the following reasons:
1. Compared with the 5th generation, the 4th generation has slightly greater draw resistance. People who really understand these devices know that draw resistance plays a very important role in the overall user experience. Because the 5th generation has less resistance, it can feel a bit less satisfying when vaping, while the 4th generation does not have that issue.
2. During use, when vaping the same flavor in both the 4th and 5th generations, there is a slight difference in flavor performance and taste reproduction. The 4th generation has slightly better flavor accuracy than the 5th generation. On the other hand, the 5th generation delivers a slightly cooler sensation than the 4th generation during vaping, but its flavor reproduction is a little weaker than the 4th generation.
So the 4th generation is still a pretty good choice.
3. Other features
In terms of other aspects of the experience, each has its own strengths. The 5th generation uses a tidal-style breathing light, so you can more intuitively see how much battery is left, while the 4th generation cannot. In addition, the 5th generation adds a pressure relief hole for increased stability.
Of course, the 4th generation also has other features. For example, it supports wireless charging: with the two contact points on the bottom of the device, it can be used with the official charging case for wireless charging. When fully charged, the charging case can recharge the device about three times, which is very convenient for people who travel frequently.
