Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau Promotes Rapid Growth in E-Liquid Exports
According to statistics, from January to June 2015, Shenzhen exported 1,236 batches of e-liquid, valued at 10.65 million USD, with the export value for the first half of the year matching that of the entire previous year.
Vaping is a portable electronic atomization device considered a healthier, more environmentally friendly, and safer tobacco substitute compared to traditional tobacco products. Bao'an District in Shenzhen holds over 50% of the global vaping production capacity, with an annual output value nearing 10 billion. E-liquid is its core technology. However, as an emerging industry, the e-liquid sector currently faces issues such as a lack of inspection standards and chaotic export methods, significantly restricting the healthy development of the industry.
In response to the challenges faced by the e-liquid industry, the Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has implemented several measures to promote exports: addressing the urgent orders and diverse product varieties for e-liquid exports, they have established the "Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau Export E-Liquid Inspection and Quarantine Supervision Management Work Specification," optimizing inspection and quarantine processes, enhancing clearance speed, and reducing enterprise costs; actively accepting third-party inspection results, reinforcing the primary responsibility of enterprises for quality and safety; collaborating with leading companies to develop local technical standards and enterprise alliance standards in Shenzhen, and applying for inspection and quarantine industry standards to promote "quality" through "standards," facilitating the transition from "Shenzhen manufacturing" to "Shenzhen creation."
