For His Son, 'X Factor' Creator Simon Cowell Switches to E-Cigarettes

During the recording of 'The X Factor', 56-year-old media mogul Simon Cowell was spotted holding an e-cigarette.
Always seen with a cigarette in hand, Cowell had previously attempted to quit his habit of smoking 80 cigarettes a day through hypnosis. However, it seems that the power of fatherly love ultimately gave him greater motivation to quit smoking, and he has now switched to e-cigarettes.
He revealed that it was all because of his 2-year-old son, Eric. Eric is the only son of Cowell and his partner Lauren Silverman.
Cowell, who has been jokingly referred to as someone who smokes 80 cigarettes a day, once said that he wouldn't smoke when Eric is around; but he still worries about what he would do when his son asks him to quit smoking as he gets older.
"Using e-cigarettes is to reduce the number of cigarettes I smoke," Cowell told a reporter from The Sun. "E-cigarettes have successfully helped me. They are quite nice, taste good, and are a bit sweet."
