AFK Brass Mechanical Mod Review

Review after using the AFK brass mechanical mod: I received this AFK brass mechanical mod through a product testing giveaway. Before this, I had already purchased the Tibetan silver Skull mechanical mod and Lotus mechanical mod and had been using them for

AFK Brass Mechanical Mod Review: I won the AFK Brass Mechanical Mod (hereinafter referred to as the "waist") in a giveaway. I had previously purchased the Tibetan silver Wan Gu mechanical mod and the Tibetan silver lotus mechanical mod for several months. To be honest, I have a deep affection for AFK and am very familiar with the works and structures of the AFK team. However, based on my experience this time, I would like to share my usage feelings with the electronic cigarette community in the spirit of fairness, justice, and openness. (I have always privately complained about the shortcomings of Old Su, haha). Without further ado, here is my three-day experience of heavy use with the mod in hand.

AFK Brass Mechanical Mod

    1. Aesthetics: 9 points, greatly exceeding my expectations. It's short and compact, and in strong light, it naturally reflects outward, which is especially noticeable when placed on a flat surface. My friend has the AFK pure silver waist, and when we discussed this mod, we unanimously agreed that it is very difficult to match with any atomizer due to its brightness (too many reflective surfaces). However, pairing the brass head with the waist looks stunning.     2. Grip: 10 points. As expected, it feels slightly harder than the pure silver waist, possibly due to the material, but it still feels great! This is also an advantage of waist-style mechanical mods.     3. Material and internal resistance: 8.5 points. Speaking of material, I want to talk about this brass. The brass body made from red copper with a purity of over 80% performs significantly better than its own Tibetan silver replica mechanical mod (tested with pure silver electrodes) and surpasses its own AV brass quick twist and red copper Rog's explosive power, but is inferior to wide-edge mechanical mods and is close to my red copper blacksmith mechanical mod in terms of explosive power. I believe the excellent explosive power is largely related to the purity of the red copper in the material. However, the downside is that during use, I was very distressed to find a dent, and subjectively, the hardness of this brass feels slightly softer than traditional brass. The overall weight is very comfortable and well-balanced, and the oxidation rate is unknown.     4. Bottom button: 6.5 points. Here I clearly give a middle rating (which I consider a negative review for AFK). The bottom button is effective but not smooth. To reduce the scrap rate (over 100 out of 400 waist mods were scrapped), the bottom pentagram button can only be adjusted to a larger tolerance. I can understand the noticeable gaps compared to replica mechanical mods, but why not polish the internal grooves more deeply to enhance the smoothness of the press? I urge Old Su to conduct deep polishing and optimization of the internal button grooves for future waist mods, at least to benefit players who purchase the waist later. AFK Brass Mechanical Mod     5. Structural workmanship: 8.5 points. The top engraving is better than that of replica mechanical mods that cost twice as much, can you believe it? The number of threads on the atomizer is sufficient, though not very ample, possibly considering the length of the atomizer electrodes; the upper section has an insulating pad, which is very considerate and quite exquisite and sturdy, so I give it a good review; the pitting on the body has no issues, and the reflections from various angles are very transparent, with a tactile feel that is both bumpy and smooth. (Thinking about Old Su showing off his tattooed arm while tapping the waist makes me laugh.); I have already discussed the bottom button separately; I find the non-adjustable travel of this button a bit unlikable, but overall, the strong magnet is still very powerful, and many players have reported it to be too hard, but it feels just right for me; since this waist mod is also in three segments, but the bottom button has eliminated the dead link spring, after consulting Old Su, I was told that it was to reduce the overall height of the mod to achieve the most visually proportionate design, eliminating the dead link spring and strong magnet mixed structure. I personally hold a reserved opinion; I have always felt that the structure of the replica mechanical mod is my favorite; I would like to add a point of praise for the EUGEN embellishment at the connection between the bottom and the body, as well as the overall curvature, which I think is a significant highlight. Players who have used AV mods know that having this extra part can sometimes be annoying and feels very crude, but this time the waist mod handled it very well and stylishly, so I give it a good review!     Summary: 8 points. Overall, the aesthetics, grip, workmanship, and internal resistance are all top-notch in the industry for mechanical mods (without excessive promotion of vacuum melting technology or purity levels, although AFK has achieved that), and considering its pricing, it offers excellent value for money. Coupled with AFK's accumulated after-sales reputation, I give this mod an 8. The 2 points deducted are mainly due to the internal smoothness of the button and some tolerance issues. Players who have not used this group's mechanical mods may not feel anything wrong, but because it is AFK, I naturally hold it to a higher standard. I hope this group can strive for perfection, and I also hope that various groups in the country can continue to improve and produce more sincere works like the waist for players.

Hello everyone, I would like to first thank the Steam Help for this event. My first experience with the waist was very good; I first received the red copper material.     The first time I used it was with an armed atomizer at 0.12 resistance, and the explosive power was impressive. It is said that this batch of red copper uses the best copper available.     From a workmanship perspective, I can say there are no flaws.     The components include the top cover, middle tube, and base. You can see that the top cover has a plastic-like material whose purpose is mainly for insulation. The wall of the tube is thick, and the base's pressure relief hole is also well done.     After two days of use, the oxidation level shows that the copper oxidizes quickly, indicating the material is solid. This mod looks great and is versatile. Those looking to purchase can give it a try. I am a novice and not very good at writing texts, so please forgive me.     Finally, here’s a picture of the mouth-to-lung setup. It can be seen that this mod should be 25mm, but it is versatile and looks good with any atomizer. The explosive power is good, the grip is comfortable, and the appearance is beautiful. I feel these three points are already worth buying.     To summarize, from the day I received it until now, it has been a week, and I have played with it for a long time before writing this review (though it can’t really be called a review since I’ve never written one before). The packaging feels great, shock-resistant, and includes Old Su's after-sales card. Old Su's after-sales service is absolutely impressive, with no flaws to point out. I believe those who want to use mods are likely to be seasoned users, so I need not say more. Doing things with a clear conscience is what matters; good is good, and there’s no reason to hesitate. If you like it, just buy it.
