According to a survey conducted by the European Commission’s official polling agency, the number of consumers trying e-cigarettes and similar smoking devices has been rising across EU member states in recent years. The survey shows that the proportion of consumers in EU member states who have tried e-cigarette products has increased from 7% in 2012 to 12% at present, although only 2% of respondents said they use e-cigarettes and similar smoking devices regularly. Among EU member states, the countries with relatively high proportions of consumers using e-cigarettes and similar smoking devices are the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
