Shanghai New Tobacco Products Research Institute Holds Exchange Session on New U.S. E-Cigarette Regu
On May 5, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released new regulations that clearly bring e-cigarettes and other novel tobacco products under government oversight, which will have a profound impact on the global development of the novel tobacco products industry. To further enhance understanding of the new U.S. e-cigarette market regulations and accurately grasp the new trends and requirements in global e-cigarette market regulation, the Shanghai New Tobacco Products Research Institute held an exchange event on the interpretation of the new U.S. e-cigarette regulations from September 6 to 7.
This event received significant attention from the National Bureau, with nearly 50 experts and key personnel from relevant provincial tobacco companies, Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute, and other organizations in the field of novel tobacco products attending. The event featured invited experts Mr. Ettinger and Mr. Chowdhury from the U.S. law firm K&L Gates, who provided detailed explanations on the U.S. Tobacco Control Act and presumptive regulations, as well as the market entry requirements for electronic vapor products in EU member states, along with specific analyses of relevant examples. Attendees actively engaged in discussions and demonstrated high enthusiasm, leading to a successful event.
