What's Going On in America? School Bus Driver Caught Vaping While Driving

According to KIRO7, in Edmonds, Washington, a mother named Lisa Davis reported that video surveillance showed a bus driver from the Edmonds School District vaping while driving the school bus. Her 12-year-old son had been complaining about this for several weeks.

The video shows that at 8 AM, on the way to pick up students, the bus driver was vaping while driving. The front of the bus was filled with vapor. About 10 minutes later, the driver stopped the bus and stood in the aisle to vape, while all the windows of the bus were closed.

Lisa Davis stated that her 12-year-old son, Austin, had complained that the strong smell inside the bus made him feel uncomfortable.

A spokesperson for the Edmonds School District stated that the driver had violated the district's policy prohibiting smoking or vaping on school buses, has been suspended without pay, and is being dealt with through proper channels with the district's human resources department and union.
