Revvo is a finished oil tank atomizer produced by Aspire, featuring a unique top-filling system that allows users to refill directly from the drip tip. This Revvo atomizer adopts an unprecedented coil structure, referred to by Aspire as ARC (Aspire Radial Coil). It breaks away from the conventional vertical cylindrical coil design, pioneering a flat surface coil structure!
From an appearance standpoint, it resembles a standard RDTA with side airflow. So what makes it special, and how does it perform? Let’s take a look at whether the flavor and coil lifespan can deliver superior performance. The packaging design follows Aspire's signature black background with a striking orange logo, prominently displaying the product image in the center. The back features some labels and anti-counterfeiting marks, allowing you to scratch off the coating to verify your product online. This includes a hologram on the side, all aimed at preventing counterfeit products. The side lists the contents of the package. The outer packaging is a tube-style, with a unique plastic box that opens by rotating.
The package includes:
1× 3.6ml Revvo Atomizer
2× ARC Coils (0.10-0.16 ohm)
1× Spare Glass Tube
10× Sealing Rings
1× Warranty Card
1× User Manual
1× Warning Card
1× Silicone Protective Cover
Official instructions for refilling:
The Revvo atomizer features a new leak-proof design that works exceptionally well. When refilling, users need to use a syringe bottle or dropper to press against the funnel-shaped cone (with a spring design) at the drip tip, rather than directly dripping e-liquid onto the drip tip. The atomizer design is similar to RDTA, with the coil installed above the oil chamber.
When refilling through the top filling hole, the e-liquid flows out from the bottom oil hole, filling the entire oil chamber. The entire device has a spring mechanism; you just need to gently press down on the spring to open the filling channel for refilling. After refilling, the spring will rebound to close the filling channel, preventing e-liquid leakage, even if turned upside down.
I tried it several times, and the experience may not be as good as described in the instructions; it can be troublesome if not careful.
Especially in the recent cold weather, when my e-liquid has a high VG ratio, it does not refill well and can overflow from the filling hole.
If the overflow is minimal, it will accumulate at the bottom of the fixed threaded ring; if more e-liquid overflows, it will accumulate on the coil. If the accumulated amount exceeds the saturation level of the cotton, the e-liquid will not drip down into the oil chamber, and you must remove the upper outer chamber for cleaning.
Conversely, it can be said that the e-liquid inside the chamber does not leak, but I find this refilling method inconvenient. If you want to refill quickly, I think it would be faster to remove the coil and add e-liquid directly into the chamber.
The Revvo features an adjustable airflow hole at the top (not a 360-degree free rotation design), making airflow adjustment convenient and smooth. The atomizer has a capacity of 3.6ml, which is slightly small, and there is also a 2ml TDP version available. If players choose to buy the kit, the atomizer is only available in silver. However, if purchased separately, black and chrome options are also available.
The Revvo uses a brand new ARC coil, which is the only coil option available for the Revvo, with a resistance of 0.1-0.16 ohm, and the tested resistance of the atomizer is 0.15 ohm. The coil itself has a flat shape, resembling a heating coil in an electric stove at first glance. This flat coil design may be intended to increase the heating area of the coil, thereby achieving greater vapor production and better flavor experience.
However, despite this, the testing found that the ARC coil's performance is only average; it is not bad, but it is not outstanding either, with an overall mediocre performance. However, the lifespan of the coil has significantly improved. Roughly, a coil can last about 2-3 weeks of use.
In semi-closed airflow conditions, the Revvo performs quite well at an output power of 85W. When using the Sky Star's CPS mode, I prefer to set the output power to 90W (one second) - 85W (one second) - 80W (one second) - 75W (two seconds) - 70W (hold).
Seeing the structure of the ARC coil feels like an evolved version of the NotchCoil tubular heating wire that was popular last year. From the differences in design materials to structure, it is clear that their flavor profiles are completely different, especially considering the increased surface area of the ARC for larger vapor production. Due to the lower resistance, the coil is closer to the drip tip, resulting in higher vapor temperatures. With small vapor production, it may feel insufficiently hot, so as long as it is not too hot, you can enjoy it freely. I think the flavor of this atomizer is not particularly outstanding, but it is decent; as a producer of large vapor, it is very competent.
Although it is top-filling, you do not need to worry about it leaking, and the top-filling structure does not significantly affect the flavor. Since there is little cotton, my concern is the cotton's oil absorption, but in actual use, you do not need to worry about this issue at all.
The Revvo atomizer, even among large vapor RDTA, can be considered to have decent flavor, ranking above average. Although the cost of the ARC coil is high compared to RBA, users will always choose products that suit them; you just need to make the product well.
Finally, due to the low resistance of the coil, I recommend using a dual-battery regulated box.
So, is the Revvo worth recommending? To be honest, the overall performance of the Revvo is only average; the vapor production and flavor performance are quite mediocre, while the leak-proof design has good effectiveness. However, generally, players prioritize vapor production and flavor performance when choosing an atomizer over its leak-proof design. Therefore, for me, the overall performance of the Revvo is not satisfactory. What do you think of the Revvo? Feel free to leave your comments.
