What Happened? Someone Was Vaping Inside a Police Station?!
We all know that there are many public morals to pay attention to in public places, such as queuing, not littering, not spitting, not making loud noises, etc. This is not only part of personal etiquette but also a basic civilized norm for interacting with others and society, which is very important. What happens if these norms are not followed? It will probably at least attract everyone's attention. If one does not handle it well, they might even end up in the police station.
You might not believe it, but there was a recent case abroad:
On the afternoon of July 19, in Brooklyn Heights, a 21-year-old young man named Nunez was vaping on the subway and blew the smoke in the face of a 49-year-old passenger. He then attempted to snatch the passenger's phone when they took a picture of him and even threatened the passenger.
Such misconduct naturally led him straight to the police station. Although he has been released, he will appear in court on September 26. It is reported that Nunez will be charged with attempted theft, illegal possession of stolen property, intimidation, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
Sigh, young people are impulsive. Although vaping on the subway is not illegal, blowing smoke in someone else's face is just reckless, right? If he had just apologized, wouldn’t everything have been fine?

Next, let’s talk about the civilized norms of vaping.
We know that e-cigarettes are safer and healthier than traditional cigarettes, and the vapor produced does not contain many harmful chemicals like cigarette smoke, so it can be said that e-cigarettes have almost no secondhand smoke hazards.
However, this does not mean that one can vape freely in public places, especially blowing smoke in someone else's face, which is very impolite behavior.

First, the vapor can create an unpleasant psychological effect on others. Who knows if you are vaping e-cigarettes? If you are producing large clouds of vapor, others might think it’s smog. Causing a negative impact on others is quite inappropriate.
Secondly, perhaps the vaper thinks, "I’m using fruit-flavored e-liquid, it smells great, it’s like an air freshener!" Little do they know, one person's honey is another's poison. Just because you like it doesn’t mean everyone else does. What feels refreshing to you might make someone else feel short of breath and dizzy; this behavior is clearly provoking conflict!
Finally, blowing smoke in someone else's face is just low! Do you think you are acting in a drama? That behavior is only appropriate in very specific situations! Otherwise, it is very disrespectful and can be seen as a blatant provocation to others.
Therefore, it is best not to vape in public places. If you must, do so discreetly and be sure not to affect others, especially not to blow smoke in someone else's face!
Vaping is a cultured activity, and those who enjoy e-cigarettes should vape civilly!
