How much does lil cost, and which is better: IQOS or lil?? To use it, insert the tobacco stick, press and hold the switch until it vibrates, and after a few seconds, it will vibrate again to indicate it's ready to use. It will vibrate once more when you're close to finishing, allowing for 2-3 more puffs. There's no need to check the light indicators; you can operate it blindly. A full charge allows for about 1-2 packs, with the official data suggesting around 30 sticks. The battery level is indicated by the color of the light, but I won't go into detail about that.
To emphasize again, the lil electronic cigarette can use IQOS tobacco sticks, meaning you can use lil to smoke Marlboro, HEETS, and all other IQOS sticks. However, if you prefer FIIT flavored tobacco sticks, using the lil device is the best choice, as IQOS doesn't produce much vapor with FIIT, making it feel underwhelming. Therefore, for a better experience with lemon and yogurt flavored tobacco sticks, I recommend using the lil device.
Inserting the tobacco stick is very smooth; just twist a few times to separate the tobacco from the heating element, and it comes out easily. Even if some tobacco falls out, just shake the chamber a bit, and it will come out.
The only downside during operation is that the vibration feels unpleasant, which is why I refer to it as shaking. In simple terms, the vibration feedback feels a bit loose.
Which is better: IQOS or lil?
Vapor production:
Some people online claim that lil produces less vapor than IQOS, but that's not true. As someone who has used both devices, I can debunk that myth. The vapor production is comparable to IQOS, and because it's easier to insert, the heating is more even. Therefore, each tobacco stick guarantees a consistent vapor output. Unlike IQOS, if the stick isn't inserted properly, it can lead to difficulties in drawing, even wasting a stick. Additionally, lil has a higher utilization rate for tobacco sticks than IQOS, allowing for 2-3 more puffs than usual. The overall duration is similar to that of regular cigarettes, and even longer than the average smoking time for regular smokers, which I verified while smoking with colleagues.
The latter part of the smoke has a slight burnt taste, which is also present in IQOS, but it's not as pronounced in lil. I believe this isn't heavily related to the device, as smoking for a long time will inevitably produce some of that taste. To eliminate the burnt taste in the latter part of the smoke, I personally think regular cleaning is key.
Summary
As a product from the new generation of Korean devices, I would rate it 80 out of 100.
Firstly, it feels warm to the touch, has a compact appearance, and a reasonable weight, ensuring both portability and a quality feel.
What do I mean by a quality feel? It's the consistency between the perceived weight visually and the actual weight in hand. (For example, the Smartisan phone looks large and should feel heavy, but when you hold it, it feels light. At that moment, people might think it feels cheap or poorly made. Of course, I'm not criticizing Smartisan; perhaps that's their design philosophy, and many people like it.) Secondly, it's easy and quick to operate, allowing for continuous puffs without interruption. Cleaning is convenient, and there's no fear of breakage.
Moreover, the vapor production is consistent, the utilization rate of tobacco sticks is high, and the flavor is good.
Lastly, no one will mistake my device for an electronic pregnancy test anymore (which is quite amusing).
Disadvantages: The shaking isn't a vibration, which doesn't feel great in terms of feedback. The components of the tobacco chamber feel somewhat cheap, and because it allows for continuous puffs, I'm concerned about the lifespan of the plastic parts and whether they might release harmful substances. Another point is that the device can't stand upright; the bottom is raised, so it can only be laid flat, making it cumbersome to take photos, requiring one hand to hold it and the other to take the picture!
Regarding appearance
Personally, I think IQOS wins hands down; it looks much more upscale than lil, but lil is smaller in size. This is subjective; some might say Daniel Wu is handsome, but I think I'm more attractive.
The device has its own compatible tobacco sticks, lemon and yogurt, which I bought a bit of, and I will also release reviews about those two flavors later.
After saying all this, I'm sure some of you want to ask, where did you buy the lil device? How much was it?
