One month ago, the first e-cigarette standard in our country was born in Shenzhen. The Vapor Bus also planned a topic-related content and conducted a small survey on which aspects of e-cigarette standards are most concerning to everyone.
The results were unsurprising; the aspect most closely related to user health and safety, "e-liquid," ranked first. Almost all participants mentioned e-liquid, and everyone hopes that e-liquid can be standardized, regulated, and made transparent in terms of raw materials, production processes, sales channels, and prices, allowing vapers to use e-cigarettes more safely and healthily.
Safety, e-liquid, channels, heating wires, regulatory processes, price cotton standards, general ceramic counterfeit precision components
In addition, participants showed a high level of concern for standards related to heating wires, cotton, ceramics, and other atomizer components, especially regarding the safety of metal heating wires.
Compared to e-liquid and atomizers, the attention to standards related to e-cigarette devices was not very high, with only a few participants mentioning aspects such as craftsmanship, materials, and safety.
Many participants also expressed their concerns about "standardization" and "generalization," hoping that the compatibility of e-cigarette products could be improved so that users would not have to deal with product incompatibility due to a single screw or rubber ring.
In addition to the products themselves, participants also showed high concern for the regulation of sales channels and prices, hoping to eliminate the troubles caused by counterfeit, specially formulated, and precision products for vapers.
Many vapers also expressed their concerns in the comments. Although standardization of e-cigarettes is a good thing, the effectiveness and strength of regulation and enforcement determine whether the standards will truly be implemented.
This small survey also reflects that whether they are seasoned e-cigarette users, newcomers, or just ordinary people, everyone places the standard and safety of e-liquid as a top priority.
Finally, I hope that e-cigarette standards can be quickly formulated, improved, and implemented, allowing consumers to vape more safely and with peace of mind.
Standards are just a beginning, but a good start is half the success.
