IQOS Teardown: See What’s Inside the IQOS 3.0
Previously, we have introduced the IQOS fourth generation 3.0 version electronic cigarette many times, and this electronic cigarette has a high market share. I believe everyone has heard the usual introduction methods, so this time, to give everyone a deeper understanding of the IQOS fourth generation 3.0 version electronic cigarette, we will conduct a violent teardown of an IQOS fourth generation 3.0 electronic cigarette to see its internal structure. Today, I have also given this activity a passionate name: The Last Quit Smoking Method of Old Smokers: The IQOS Internal Unboxing Battle Brought Back from Japan!
First, the object chosen for this teardown is a black version of the IQOS fourth generation 3.0 electronic cigarette. We first disassemble the main body; you can use a sharp tool, such as a utility knife, and be careful when using the knife. Start from the side and cut along the edges. After removing one side of the cover, you can see the charging battery, the tobacco stick slot, and the circuit board. Similarly, remove the cover on the other side. Then, remove the lid, which is controlled by a latch. Although the structure is relatively simple, it is evident that the craftsmanship is very fine. Next, you can remove the battery. Pay special attention to a connection wire connecting to the mainboard; to prevent accidental damage while removing the battery, be very careful to unplug the connection wire first.
Then you will see the battery. Although the battery is small, it has a capacity of 2900mAh, which is enough for 1-2 charges per week. The battery also has the following specifications: cell made in South Korea, further processed in China by LGC. Here, let me explain that LGC is a subsidiary of the South Korean LG Group, specializing in lithium battery cells, and many Thinkpad laptops use this type of battery cell. From this, we can also see that the IQOS fourth generation 3.0 electronic cigarette has strong endurance, which is closely related to the large capacity of the battery.
After the battery, we move on to the tobacco stick chamber. Remove the tobacco stick chamber, and you can see the left side yellow metal piece, which connects to the metal contact at the bottom of the tobacco stick for charging. Next, carefully remove the L-shaped circuit board. The switches and heating buttons on the side of the body work in conjunction with this circuit board. Now we start to disassemble the tobacco stick. In fact, disassembling the tobacco stick is a bit difficult, and you may need to use some brute force.
First, remove the yellow plastic buckle in the middle; be careful here. Then, use a pen-like tool to insert from the bottom of the circuit board and push out from the top. After separating the outer shell from the steel sleeve, you still need to remove the circuit board from the steel sleeve. Remember that the circuit board must be removed from the front (because the back has many latches, which can easily damage the sealing ring at the bottom of the heating plate).
In fact, the heating plate is more fragile than you might think and can break easily. Many users have broken it during daily use because they did not follow the instructions, so be particularly careful when using it. #p#分页标题#e#
Thus, the teardown of the IQOS comes to an end. From this teardown, it can be seen that the IQOS is exquisitely crafted, with internal latches designed with precision, and not a single screw is used, demonstrating the strong design foundation of the product. On the other hand, the modular design also keeps its costs low, which is an advantage of the industrial era.
