The IJOY AVENGER PD270 kit has recently developed a hands-free feature that allows users to control the mod using voice commands. The voice commands include: wattage up/down, lock device, light color, and music color mode (it is still unknown if the voice commands support Chinese). Why would you need a voice-controlled mod? Well, theoretically, this feature is useful when you need to change the wattage while driving or when you want to change colors or modes without navigating through menus.
Is this the trend of the future? Or is it just a gimmick?

Is voice recognition really necessary?
The AVENGER PD270 mod has a maximum power of 234W and is the first mod with a voice recognition system. It supports TCR, temperature control, and customizable modes, using two 20700 lithium batteries for extended battery life.
From a design perspective, the AVENGER PD270 mod resembles IJOY's Diamond PD270 kit. There are three LED lights on the front that light up together when the device is fired, providing visual feedback in different colors. Above the lights is a large screen that displays a new interface, allowing for operational settings through two adjustment buttons.
The specific color configurations of the kit are still unknown, but I have reservations about the design of the mod's lights...
At the top of the AVENGER PD270, there is a centered 510 connector atomizer base that is compatible with atomizers up to 30mm in diameter, with no protrusions. The kit comes with the AVENGER sub-ohm tank, featuring a convenient top-fill design, adjustable airflow at the bottom, and a large-diameter resin drip tip. It comes pre-installed with an X3-C1S atomizer core, which should provide good flavor and massive vapor. The tank has a capacity of 3.2ml but can be expanded to 4.7ml. The AVENGER tank is designed for large vapor production and has a style similar to an RDA.
The micro USB port allows for charging the batteries while they are inside the mod. This port should also support firmware upgrades, especially for the voice recognition software, making firmware updates a necessary feature. The specific colors of the kit are still unknown, but I have reservations about the design of the mod's lights...
Voice recognition technology has been around for a while, with many good product solutions, such as... Google... Siri...; and some that are not so great, like many car voice recognition systems. If the voice recognition technology used by IJOY is good and has a high recognition rate, whether it is necessary still needs further market validation, but IJOY's bold attempt is commendable. However, if the recognition is poor and you find yourself talking to the mod with no response, it would be more convenient to just press buttons, making it an awkward "white elephant."
